My eldest son texted me today and said I love you mom. I asked him what he did or what he needed from me...he laughed and said I just want you to know I love you. Later in the evening he came by and told me he watched a video of this guy who wrote a song for his mom on AI and he cried. He felt he had to tell me how he felt so he texted me. I found the video tonight and I could only wish I could call my mom and tell her how much I still love her. What a beautiful tribute he gave his mom.

There is nothing wrong with his voice. It is deep and rich and full of pain. If we picked our stars on the fact that they can do all the runs and have perfect falsetto then we wouldn’t have the legends like Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, Neil Young, Bruce Springsteen, the list goes on. You can be a technically good singer...but an artist, that does not make 👌🏼

Love when a voice sounds this simple and real. You can tell when someone is singing from the heart.

I really LIKED his voice,love his raspy tone and vibrato.Beautiful original song and lyrics sung with wonderful,heartfelt emotion. "The love from my mother's heart,but we are far apart,oOoo"that did it for me.

Even if he doesn’t win, someone should get him and make him a big star. He deserves it. His voice is so beautiful. Truly Talented.

Reagan Alanna I would hope Luke Bryan would work with him, If he wins or not. As someone else said up in the top comments, Brandon and Luke should duet this together as it hits home for Luke. I believe Luke is raising his sisters child, as she passed away out of nowhere. His brother also died, from a car crash. His sisters widower died as well. Totally tragic...

The song played before his audition while talking about his story.. What is the name of it?

I had the honor of meeting him just by chance, one night in MS. I had no idea that he had been on AI until he started to sing along to Blake Shelton song as I was pulling into a parking garage at a casino. My jaw about hit the staring wheel. I was blown away. I Saud, why aren't you singing professionally? He casually said that he had done the bar/club tour and that he had been on AI. I asked, "really? How was that?" he smiled and said "it was good. It was interesting." For the next two hours we sang karaoke in my car in the parking garage. Had a blast!

That was So Beautiful and really heart felt i hope he goes far..

I can relate to you Brandon. My mom had breast cancer too, but she is still here thanks to many prayers, love, and support. She will be five years cancer free this summer. I am so sorry that you had to go through that situation with your family, but I know your mom is looking down on you and smiling. Have faith and believe and all your dreams will come true. God Bless You as you embark on this journey.

I'm adopted too and my mom passed away from pancreatic cancer just over a year ago. I showed her your song last January after we got her Stage IV diagnosis and she said "This is a beautiful song, but I'm not gone yet!" then gave me a hug. I'll always remember that. I wish I could've been by her side the entire time when she needed me the most because she passed away only 8 months after she was diagnosed. Listen man... I've always had a way with words, but you expressed every feeling from the heart in a way that I, nor anyone else could/has. I keep your song at the top of the playlist I dedicated to my Mom because it expresses the love and gratitude we have for our Moms. Especially as adopted sons. The qualities our mothers instilled in us will be with us for life. To this we say "Thank you for giving us the opportunity to be able to call you our Moms". The words of that song went straight to my heart ❤️. I was there with my Daddy alone when he went into an unresponsive state with cancer that had in 16 days spread to his entire body. I was the one chosen by the Lord to be with Dad during this time for two reasons, being the eldest, I had to let him know he could let go that we would be ok and because I had to calm him with my voice. I didn’t know what to do and I heard a voice that said hymns so I sang all the old ones Daddy love until my family returned to the hospital. Losing a parent to something so viciously brutal is the hardest thing I’ve ever endured!!! Beautiful song!

It was very touching,i wrote 1 for my dad & finished it after he passed away,, kp writting & singing those songs im still crying. I figure if i didnt hav the voice for it,i would hav loved reba to sing it & touch every1's heart

Love this song!!! It hits close to home I lost my mother to cancer in 2014 she was only 46 its never easy nor does it get easy, only numb. We had to watch the strongest women we knew slowly fade away in pain. Don't take your mother for granted because one day you'll wake up and she won't be there to talk, to hug, or give a kiss, and trust me you'll miss it and regret everything you didnt say or do.
