Is it just me or is her ending to this just the most beautiful bit of vocal inflections you have ever heard? What makes it even better I think, is her singing with her eyes closed like she’s really feeling the music and is lost in it. Then right after that amazing vocal like she wakes up to where she’s at and what she’s doing.

Brandi used to do a lot of busking and I read that one time she got lost in her singing and had her eyes closed for awhile. When she opened them several people were putting money in her guitar case and she told herself that she had to remember to do that more often.

Perfect description - you can tell she’s not here in this world for a few moments and then comes back - magical!

To me, Carlile's sound is unclassifiable as a genre. She blazes her own trail, with enormous talent (not to mention a great band). This latest album is her best, and I own them all. Respect!

I just recently found out about her and my god i am just in love with her and her music. cant believe that i didnt know her sooner. her music is just so touching and beautiful. in the midst of electronic songs, her music is just refreshing because it brings back the memory of how old music used to sound.

This band is consistently amazing! This is such a beautiful song and I love all of the strings!

Her voice is not of this planet I think.. she's so damn amazing. I have never been into Country much at all or Americana, Bluegrass or anything along those lines. I've been a hard/punk rocker for the large majority of my life .. Well not so much anymore she has changed me. And thru Brandi Carlile I've been able to open up my mind and ears to other music along these lines. Well actually not along these lines because there's no other music out there like Brandi Carlile's but others of the same genre anyways, I've been digging

No, but she’s transitioning most beautifully. Strong lyrics, but honestly that vocal ending is worthy of Whitney Houston fame. Impressive power in that there.
