Is this what imperfectly perfect sounds like? Those little breaks in her voice are just omggggg I cant love her voice enough!

I just love that Brandi and the twins are finally getting the recognition they deserve. Long long long overdue in my opinion. Love what Brandi is wearing and the colour.

@@bojohnson5387 Phil and Tim Hanseroth. The three of them make up the band and have been with Brandi since the beginning. They have written several of their songs or co-written them with Brandi. Phil actually wrote "The Story" which has been their biggest commercial hit.

Brandi Carlile is the best singer/songwriter in the world today.

When she says she came out as a teen (it was back in the 90s). Not an easy thing or as accepted as it is now these days. Love that she speaking to it, touches and is healing for so many in our generation.

Growing up in the 80s being a lesbian was very lonely because we just did not talk about it. I did wear a tux to my senior prom in1994..it is now getting better for sure

I hid unfortunately not ready to face what I feared to come. Being a teen in the 90’s was hard enough for me and I just wasn’t strong enough. I envy her strength

I remember the first time I heard this song. I just cried and cried.. I played it on loop for hours and the impact wouldn't fade. What a song.. what a voice.. what lyrics! Out of this world!

This lady just spills her entire soul out when she sings. She is very special💗

brandi's voice gives me chills. this song gives me chills. her ability to write such powerful songs gives me chills.

When she hit the notes her smile was so beautiful...live and acoustic 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 just wow...it was out of this world.

Shame its taken this long. The Story was incredible in 2007. Brandi is the Janis Joplin and Mary Travers of our generation.

I still am brought to tears everytime. I first heard the song when she was interviewed on Howard Stern and she talked about meeting this boy at a party. She was so drawn to him and his struggles. Besutiful song. Love all her work.

Wait till you hear "The Story".

When she paused and then BELTED that note… the guitar and her voice came in perfectly and I was blown away. She left me in tears.

Chills & tears. She did phenomenal @ the Grammy's, but took it to another level, right here. So AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just love her. Her voice is only part of her greatness. Her soul is GOOD. Honest and kind. She is rock and roll with tenderness.

This woman’s voice is a national treasure. It’s so beautiful it’s almost tragic somehow.

She has one of the best most pure voices I have ever heard. She has the voice of an angel.

Brandi is my absolute favorite musician. Finally getting the recognition she deserves! But this woman, it won’t change her in the slightest. She’s truly authentic- a brilliant lyricist with a voice like no other!

It took me 30 minutes to watch this 6-minute video. I just kept replaying at the 2:40 minute mark! She’s great.

I was expecting her to actually levitate during this performance. Amazing!

Brandi should have had so much more recognition than she ever received. I do believe she has garnered much respect and awe, not only from the public, but fellow performers. That voice is amazingly beautiful. The Story is my favorite Brandi Carlyle song. She’s just amazing!!!!!

I was at that Madison Square Garden show. She packed the house and was phenomenal!! First saw her when she opened for Chris Isaak in Morristown, NJ right after her debut album came out. The sound system shut down mid-song and she kept right on playing. Her voice easily carried to the last row, unamplified. Was fortunate enough to get her to sign the CD I purchased at intermission in the lobby of the venue. One of my prized possessions.

Nearly 62. Grew up hating country and folk music. Saw Brandi on Jools Holland's tv show. Fell in love with that voice. She transcends styles. Years went by until I bought The Story album. I cried all the way through. She and "The Twins' are special. I now have five albums of hers and I'm desperate to see her live. I don't cry so much now but I just did.

The last time I saw her live I was visiting my aunt and cousin in Asheville last year. They lost everything in Katrina. When they performed The Eye their eyes were just pouring, which of course moved me as well. They are now fans.

She dont need an auto tune...her voice tough..my god.

I swear this is the most cathartic song in the world. to listen to, to scream, to sing, anything really it makes me cry every time no matter the circumstance

They are a certain niche she is too left for country music stations, and too country/folk for pop stations. She’s doesn’t fit into their little compartments. I love her because I love GREAT music and GREAT SONGWRITING. I don’t care what genre it is.

Amazing , I truly think a fire lit in her in the last half of the song , I could feel the energy change in her voice , wow that was incredible .

This song is so awesome. Every once in awhile you hear a song that rocks you to your core. This is it.

She has an incredible soul - this is artistry at its finest.

Editing for Brandi must be so easy because she’s so perfect

The chord progression of the melody using those b (flat)chords make it so melancholy and gorgeously bitter sweet. It's a great song to cover. Benicio on AGT just did and he killed it.

The purity, clarity with which he hits her notes and still she conveys emotion is monumental

WOW! A sitdown interview with Ellen! I am so happy for Brandi and I was absolutely positive that, once people heard her on such a far reaching event as the Grammys, her popularity would soar. And so it has! Congratulations to her and the Twins. No one could be more deserving!
