@@miah1172 Actually it is. Paul even said "expel the wicked from among you". Jesus said "beware of false teachers, you will know them by their fruit". For you to sit back and say "that is for God to judge" is not in line with Biblical teaching. Now, it is God's place to hand down judgement ("vengeance is mine says the Lord, I will repay") to them for what they do but we still have a responsibility to keep the Church purged from these people as Paul said "expel the wicked from among you". Being a false teacher is wickedness as Jude says "blackest darkness is reserved for them". Brandon is not Christian but he can be if he turns from his false teachings and follows Jesus in the way Jesus commanded. By teaching sex is ok outside of marriage, Brandon has proven himself to not be Christian one bit.

I think it helps to describe what sin is. Sin isn't based on feelings, culture, society. Sin is REBELLION to God's decrees and order. He alone sets the rules and mandates for all of life. Marriage, sex, food, relationships. If it goes against what God intended. It's Sin.

Yes, we have no right to pick and choose which Commandments of God's are *moral* all of God's laws are *moral* because He sets the standard for *Morality* . The *doctrines* of Brandon Robertson shows us where things go when we try to *divide* God's *laws* into unbiblical categories. Once you define even one of God's Commandments as not having to do with *morality* the devil will find ways to slowly move the rest of God's *laws* into that same unbiblical category.

I got a friend who lived a sexually immoral life before being saved, and he said his lifestyle of sexual immorality tore his life apart, no wonder God tells us to abstain from it. Also, Is funny that ppl treat sex as no big deal yet the mere fact that they rightfully see rape as the abomination it is, shows that deep down, even without actually connecting the dots, they know it IS a big deal. In fact i used this very argument on rape as a proof that sex IS a big deal when an unsaved friend of mine said it was not, and he conceded that i did have a good point.

Colin, I am almost 46 years old and I have been in church most of my life. In all my years, I have never heard such a well put together argument against sexual sin as the one you presented in this video. It was accurate from both a theological and practical perspective. Also, you dropped a gem when saying that our ability to understand God's commandments do not supersede our duty to obey them. We must trust that all things are working together for our good. I cant say that I always do this well, but what you said is resonating in my spirit. I will reference it for the future. Good Job on rightly dividing the word. 👍

The Apostle Peter was married. Also, the NIV bible is the preferred bible of the homosexuality. Why? because the NIV bible subtly supports homosexuality. Check out I Corinthians 7:1-4. It states that it is good for a man not to have sex, and then there is a number 1 after sex. You look down at the bottom of the page and it will say 1) or have sex with a woman. So who is a man suppose to have sex with?? Indirectly it says that a man can have sex with a woman or a man, but in order to avoid fornication every one should have their own wife. So in other words, subtly the NIV states that the wife can be either a woman or a man.

@StPaul with upfront honesty you wouldn't be saying that if you truly had the Holy Spirit living in you, when you're truly saved everytime you sin you would feel a conviction that only the Holy Spirit produces (which is more than just your consciousness being hurt) you feel the Holy Spirit being grieved. With that being said the message you and Brandon are giving explains more of a *broad road to heaven rather than a broad road to hell.* which the Bible explains is the opposite and the way to life is very narrow that *very few will get there.* because really, the Bible says that at the end times there will be itchy ears and explains how false preachers will be *tickling* others *ears.* which is exactly what both of your messages would be doing,

I wish I could get some people around me to understand just how serious sexual immorality is. I came from a life filled with sin, I've been in bed with people when I shouldn't have.... but I also repented of my sins, turned away from it, and stayed single for 4 years so I had no distractions. I just got married to my husband 7 months ago, we kept it 100% biblical thru the entire process. If only people knew how much stronger of a relationship you can have by waiting and committing the correct way, God's way, nobody would sleep with random people. Such a huge difference! God will bless you when you choose to honor Him!

He uses the "two consenting adults" argument when referring to the morality of sex outside of marriage because that's the same faulty, vacuous and flimsy logic that the LGBT community use to justify homosexuality, and as Brandon is a member of that community he falls in line with the battle lines they've drawn. He's just showing his cards here, that he cares nothing for God's standards, but only the world's. Just to make it simple btw consenting adults have done literally everything throughout history. Let's just say that that line alone is not a good argument for the morality of a given situation. Which of the literal millions of consenting adults do we wanna take a look at on a case-by-case basis just to see some good examples of how weak a justification this actually is?

I would also say that one pro-gay argument that i've heard from Christians is that gay Christians should hold/will hold their same sex relationships to the higher standard that straight Christians are held to, and thus it's permissible. Aside from the fact that in the almost 70 years of gay culture being open to the mainstream, there has been no real change from promiscuity and overlooked/normalized abuse, the fact that Brandon is now trying to defend promiscuity after "the battle for gay Christians" has been "won" in mainline Christianity is telling. Progressivism is ultimately the immature struggle to see how much one's wants, desires, and impulses can be allowed/tolerated/accepted/celebrated in society, with the self at the center rather than God or even the larger collective. It's like a teenager asking Dad "Ok, you won't let me get a face tattoo, but can I at least get one on my bicep?", and then using the bicep tattoo to justify more visible ones.

I simply cannot fault Brandon Robertson on anything he says. Why?... Because, to him and those who agree with him, what they say is for them "truth". The Written testimony we have from God, however, clearly states: Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth (John 17:17). Also: "Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away" (Luke 21:33) "Long ago I learned from Your testimonies that You have established them forever".(Psalm 119:152). "But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than one stroke of a letter of the Law to fail (Luke 16:17) It is important to realize that the faith in God is complete. Everything we need to know has already been revealed, even if some things we might want to know are yet to be seen (Mark 13:32; 1 John 3:2). As humans we may grow in our understanding of the truth (1 Timothy 3:9; 2 Peter 3:18; Colossians 1:26), but the truth itself does not change. Paul sought to confirm that the gospel he preached was exactly the same as that of the disciples (Galatians 2:1-10). Paul even declared a curse-twice over-on anyone who would change that message (Galatians 1:8-9). This leads to an important application: the first step in recognizing false doctrine. Over time, self-labelled teachers have introduced "new" interpretations of the Bible, or God, which overturn the basics of the faith itself. Sometimes, these relate to doctrinal issues. In other cases, they are claims about changing moral principles. By their very nature, all such claims are false. Yeshua does not change-and neither does His gospel. God does not change-and neither does His truth (Isaiah 40:28). This doesn't mean we can't come to a better understanding. It's good to move our beliefs closer to what God intended (Acts 17:11). But if "new" teaching requires us to believe the apostles and Bible writers were mistaken, that claim is subject to the curse mentioned by Paul (1 Thessalonians 5:21). In other words, if someone claims to know better, or differently, than the Bible, or to have a more accurate perspective than writers such as Paul, John, or Peter, that person is wrong. Period. Full stop. The Bible warns us not to stray from established teachings. Knowing that God is constant and unchanging, is a cornerstone of our trust. For the same reason, being reminded that Yeshua and His gospel are timeless, changeless, and eternal should inspire believers to trust in what is true, rather than chase fads or succumb to fear (1 Timothy 6:20; 2 Timothy 4:3).

Whoa. I'm reading the book on casual sex in general on audiobook. The one that doesn't focus on teens by the same authors. One consequence that i see that people who they themselves don't see unless you point out that there's research that proves it. Sex creates intimacy and bondage, however, the hormones released during sex makes it harder for the person to end the relationship if it ends up being necessary. I have a friend who is dating a girl who's pathologically obsessed with him and he had to create rules to be able to bear her, and i see in his face when he talks about her how much it is suffocating him psychologically. Most likely he would have been able to break up with her if they had remained in abstinence and he would be free of a bad relationship.

The difference is that Brandan has read his own nature into the scriptures, rather than the other way around. In other words, Brandan can argue with you all he likes. He has to take those arguments before God.

I agree with your views. Sex outside marriage is wrong, it is an abomination against God, it's also very damaging to a person's soul. I had my son when I was still in high-school. His dad is still in his life but we were never married. I guess my son beat the statistics of a broken home. He just started University. This doesn't mean he will not be affected in other ways however. Preaching sexual immorality is NOT preaching the Gospel.

Great video again Colin! May the Lord continue to use you to show people the right way to look at scripture along with many other things. God bless you! The biggest problem here is that people like Brandon are so obsessed with their own sin that they’re willing say things like “God didn’t care about sex outside of marriage” etc. if they would just merely listen to what the actual scripture says and humble themselves before the Lord they’ll find their lives completely changed.

Your argument for poverty as a result of sexual sin is excellent. My country of South Africa is a concrete example of this. More than 60% of mothers in my county are single mothers. Poverty statistics proves your point as does unemployment rates. My country is bleeding to death as a result of the rampant sin of fornication and the resulting fatherless homes 😭

@@Ironica82 I'm not 100% sure, but I think in this context Freedom was talking about leftism, or progressive, Christianity. If that is the case, then he's not entirely wrong. A lot of progressive pastors try to modernize the Bible and adapt its teachings to society. Colin (the host) provides an example of one of these "modern" pastors using his assumptions and emotions to construct a biblically inaccurate response. If this isn't the case and Freedom categorized the American left as "emotional sophistry", then you are correct.

Hearing some of the things that Brandon has stated just goes to show the difference between people who want to know God's word because of their love for Him and desire to know Him, and those who want to know God's word to try to use it to fit their lifestyle. I know people who have the "knowledge" of the Bible in their head, but not in their heart. Sex outside of marriage doesn't lead to anything positive in our lives, with or without God. For many women, it causes a lot of hurt and pain, no self worth, self harm, ends in children being born outside of wedlock and being raised in one parent homes, or aborted altogether.... for men, it causes them to stop valuing women, can also cause pain and hurt, ends up in men being kept away from their children when they get a girl pregnant who uses that child as leverage. There are so many good reasons to not sleep around, and not one good reason to do so. Prove me wrong.

Absolutely stunning! There’s enough material here I could teach a week! But I won’t, let me take it one step further. The homosexual community is searching for that second parent. I knew quite a number of gay men and they had either terrible relationships with their father or no father in the household. Not to mention the fact that gangs are trying to mimic the family and these young men and women are looking for acceptance in a family because they came from broken homes. Brandon doesn’t see it because Brandon does not want to see it. We see what we want to see and we hear what we want to hear! I also want to say when you pick up a public forum you also pick up an enormous responsibility! You better be sure of what you’re saying because if you lead people astray you will be subject to judgment. In Luke 14 Jesus tells us to count the cost. We need to keep that in mind.

The object of his videos, beside the shock value, is to justify and enable those who want to consider themselves Christians while living secular immoral lives.
