Brandan Robertson False Teacher

Last week, Apologia Radio uploaded a video which featured a conversation between Conservative Pastors Jeff Durbin and James White and Progressive Teacher Brandan Robertson. I provide some thoughts on highlights from the exchange in this video.

As with so many Progressives, Robertson admits that his deviant sexual proclivities have contributed to his search for a different way to read the Bible, one in which his sin is no longer sin.

Saddest part to me is that Brandan went to Moody so you know he knows better but he actively chooses to deceive both his followers and himself. His punishment will be all the more severe because he knows much.

Anecdotal evidence like this suggests maybe Moody doesn't teach what we all assume it does, at least not any more. I do know there was another conservative preacher that went to a seminary (I don't remember which, but even this was many years ago) that said on the day of the last class the instructor asked who actually believed all that stuff. The majority of the class, including the instructor, did NOT believe. This is what happens when institutions are forced to hire people that don't believe. They create graduates that don't believe, that fill churches with the unbelieving, that then have no problem compromising on any point because they never believed it anyway. It was always just a paycheck to them. Then the world gets to point to the unbelieving churches and say that us believers are just a extremist minority. A long term plan coming to fruition.

The so-called progressive movement has no problem with this, because many of them don't even believe in the concept of sin or hell or atonement. I was attending a progressive church in addition to my own church for a little while during Covid, because it seemed like they had some interesting concepts I hadn't heard taught in my own church, and nothing outwardly seemed wrong... at first. . Then one day I got into a serious dialogue with one of their pastors on the necessity of Jesus to die for our sins. He completely rejected that teaching and said the only reason Jesus died is that people were socially unjust and didn't like what he was saying, so they tried to silence him. From there the conversation only went downhill into a discussion on social justice being the function of the church, and religious pluralism. I found out later they had Muslims in the congregation... not the most devout Muslims, obviously, since they were attending a supposed "christian" church. Needless to say, I didn't go back after that discussion. It was pointless. . Basically, they don't believe in sin. They believe in power politics and social justice. That's how they manage to excuse almost any sin directly noted in the Bible, and blanket the whole thing with "love is love." . This is why I refuse to participate in calling anyone a "progressive" Christian. There is no such thing as an "adjective-Christian", and once you dig into the doctrine of so-called progressive churches, you quickly find they aren't Christians. They like Christ okay... mostly...except the things he says that don't fit their agenda, such as marriage being between one man and one woman. That's why they have to cherry pick the Bible, taking what they like, and discarding the rest claiming Jesus never said this or that.

@A.B We can always pray for the lost in general. I think this is where God commands us to "pray without ceasing." He doesn't say, "Pray only for those who you think might be saved and don't read their Bibles." . I get what you're saying though... it can seem overwhelming, especially with those who are so deep into falsehood. And yet our God works miracles. The thief on the cross always reminds me that no one is too far gone to have their heart changed by God, so long as there is still breath in their lungs. . Sometimes, I think the prayer for the unrepentant is more for our sake than for theirs. After all, God doesn't intervene specifically to save everyone in person like the thief on the cross. That was a once-in-history event. Still, praying for others is what Jesus himself taught when he said, "Father, forgive them. They know not what they do." . My 2 cents. Don't spend 'em all at once.

Please pray for me. I deliberately rejected Christ for so long, almost a year. I was a professing Christian, and I walked away with the intention to get saved later, and to just enjoy sin for a little while. I was an apostate and now I am scared I might commit the unforgivable sin. I still love sin and I wish I didnt love my sin, I'm not sure if this feeling is sincere or genuine. I've been praying for God to make me hate my sin, but I'm not sure if those prayers are sincere or genuine. Please pray that my desire for salvation becomes genuine and sincere and that I God saves me.

God loves you and yes, you may desire to sin, but God has given you a free gift and grace is always sufficient. You have not turned against God and totally hate the thought of worshiping God. You have desire and love God. Don’t be deceived by thoughts of doubt, fear and worry. Peace and blessings to you.

"The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, *but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance."* (2 Peter 3:9) As you have read, GOD DOES NOT WANT ANYBODY TO PERISH. Having said that, that same verse STILL TELLS US TO REPENT. *Many times people will ONLY CONFESS their sins to God, but what does the Bible teach about TRULY REPENTING OF SINS TO BE FORGIVEN?* “He who covers his sins will not prosper, But whoever confesses AND FORSAKES THEM WILL HAVE MERCY.” (Proverbs 28:13) *Not only do you confess your sins, BUT YOU FORSAKE THEM TOO! This means that YOU STOP COMMITTING THE SAME SINS IN ORDER TO BE FORGIVEN.* If a person confesses their sins only to do it again on the same day, week, or month, THEN THAT MEANS THAT THEY NEVER TRULY REPENTED OF THEIR SINS. *TO REPENT means to GIVE UP YOUR SINS AND NO LONGER DO IT AGAIN.* *James chapter 4* is the best chapter that depicts how a person can “draw near to God.” It shows this idea too: *“For GODLY SORROW produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted;* but the sorrow of the world produces death.” (2 Corinthians 7:10) WHEN YOU ARE TRULY SORRY, and you realize YOU NEED TO MAKE A CHANGE, then that is GODLY SORROW. *To be broken down by your sins, and make the necessary changes to show that YOU NO LONGER WANT TO COMMIT THE SAME SINS ANYMORE.* God bless!

Thank you, Alan, for this presentation. It is not easy to understand when an action fall in the first degree, the actions, and reactions of this individual fall in this category of the first degree, and it is ok, to pray for this Renegate, however, when anyone, pursues a position with the intent, of deceiving, it becomes a waste of time, and we become short-sighted of the real problem. It may look cruel, to adopt this position, but we have people that need our prayers, time, and resources, I am not correcting anyone, let alone Alen, he is in my eyes and heart a Man of God, and it is a blessing to many, including me. just to point out how I see this situation, please feel free to correct me, maybe there is something that I do not see or grasp. This much I know, that The Holy Spirit, will guide and lead us, and prayer, to the right person, time, place, and reason, it is His and His alone. Shalom.

I am convinced that either one believes that the Bible is the inerrant Word of God, or one doesn’t believe in His Word at all. There is no in-between. Once you cross the line into believing only in part, then you’ve fallen into the conundrum of determining which parts to believe in, and which not to. No two persons will ever agree and you’ve started your own individual cult. “…lean not unto thine own understanding”

There is only one truth and not 35,000 truths and denominations. Sola scriptura is a recipe for chaos and disorder. With sola scriptura everyone can have their own truth. Sola scriture fits perfectly in this culture we live in as demonstrated by Brandan.

This young man continues to contradict himself, distort, and cherry pick the word motivated by self centered gratification. At the end of this interview, it appeared, as if he chameleonized or morphed his position into no position that represents the word of God. 🤔 How do you say, you represent the church, but nullifies the law and manual (God’s infallible word) His non position, is nothing but an illusion to give people a false perception, to do whatever they want and stamp it with Jesus. Brandon is misleading many people, I pray God may work the truth though his heart according to His will, time is running out🙏🏻

It's to bad that Brandon has brought his preconceived ideas into the Bible. I would think he wants to know the truth, but is to hung up on his own desires ( making the Bible say what he wants it to say) and just came to scripture as THE TRUTH, He could know the truth and be set free. However it appears he's determined to stand his ground no matter the consequences.

God loves him more than a religious man. It's in scripture , that forgiveness is for the sinner , the killers of mother's and father's , murderers , perverts. It's in scripture. And the parable that Christ put out there. That the Shepard abandoned ninety nine sheep to find one lost sheep. In real life a shepard will not do that. The ninety nine sheep is the sanctimonious religious man , the one lost sheep is the sinner. Christ said in John 8:15 you judge according to the eyes of the flesh , I judge no man. But if I were to judge my judgements would be true and correct because my judgements would come from the spirit. You however , you justify your every inconsistency as if you were above reproach as if you are above the judgement of god. end Christ said that to the religious men of his day.

Brandon Robertson is closer to God that all of you trapped inside your rigid religious dogma. Moses never wrote a single word of Leviticus. It was first written down around 900 BC (hundreds of years after Moses death) it was developed over a long time and by that LEVITICUS is a list of man made subjective secular rules and NOT at all the word of god. And furthermore: LEVITICUS 18.3 "You must not do as they do in Egypt, where you used to live, and you must not do as they do in the land of Canaan, where I am bringing you." LEVITICUS is a political motivated text of the Hebrews to justify their overtake of the land of the Canaanites: "You shall not wear the beard in a tip" (as the Canaanites did), "you shall not wear clothes with mixed fabrics" (as the Canaanites did), "a man shall not lay with a man" (or correctly translated : "a man shall not lay with a temple prositute", as the Canaanites did in their fertility cult). ROMANS,CORINTHIANS: Paulus, who had a hard time to keep his communities together overtook some, not all (! cherry picking!) of those man made rules in the New Testament and presented again man made rules as "divine" rules to give them more impact and to make sure his people follow them. The Bible was written by men - not God well over 100 years after Jesus walked the Earth.

"But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The world has "burned" since the dawn of humanity. If you think we've somehow reached an historically bad series of events today, I challenge you to open any history textbook and find me a period of time lasting longer than 15 minutes where there weren't wars, pestilence, famine, and humans doing evil deed to each other and themselves.
