Oh my!! I think you just helped me figure out my issue. Same for me, the dealership and 2 other mechanics found nothing wrong g with my suspension. I replaced sway bars and control arms bushing. Though, they needed replacement but not quickly. Still, clunk, clunk. Thank you so so so much.

FYI; Have experienced similar low speed knocking noises as well from the start on a 2019 CX3 non AWD. Of course the dealer could not find anything and basically told me its a great dependable vehicle and warranty will cover it if it develops into a serious issue. Recently discovered the noises disappear when the Traction Control System is turned off. Have not reported back to dealer what I found with the Traction Control System.

Did you have any luck? I feel the service peeps I deal with do not take in blind advice from a customer (ex. "I saw on KZread that the _____(part) could be the problem. Could they look at that?" I mentioned the shock absorber since on a Mazda forum someone claimed they had a leaky one that was the cause of their noise, and the advisor I had immediately cut in and told me that the absorber and strut (which I had had replaced) were the same thing.

This is common issue for Mazda CX-5. In my country, 9 out of 10 Mazda CX-5 (from 2017 to 2021 and now) has this issue and it will never resolve. Even replacing the part with new, it will return again after sometime.

Mazda CX3 has even more issues. Mine has like in the video. And in addition sticky steering around the middle position on long distance drives (after about 50 driven km). Very hard to reproduce, but extremely annoying. The dealers only do some lubricating which didn´t help in my case. The suspension knocking still occurs after the repair, but only in very hot condition outside. My engine has a knocking like piston slap which becomes a rattling when reving it to about 1200RPM. And i don´t mean the DI ticking, is lower slapping. This brand is a big joke. I bought it for Japanese quality and i got FIAT quality. The CX3 will be my first and last Mazda.

Hey, I have a new CX-30 from just 3 weeks ago and have had a knocking noise from the driver-front. I have had the front strut replaced, a bolt re-torqued, a sliding pin on the brake caliper re-torqued, but the sound persists. The dealerships are dumb as shit and I'm clueless what to do. I've been stressing out on Mazda forums and Reddit and am unclear if I should raise hell with the dealership I purchased from.

@@SLone3251 I know budd took mine in three times until they called in someone senior from Mazda. He examined it drove with me then he explained to me what it was and since um no expert in lay man's he said its the "weight distribution" as the knocking doesn't happen often but rather e. g on an incline/ going over a hump you ger a slight knock. Said this is occurring mostly in 2021 models, it's not your car at fault nor a factory fault but rather the engineering that went into these models, something to do with dome rotating spring he says can't remember exact words. So don't worry If the knocking sound doesn't happen often but rather rarely. With me sometimes it happens when I go outside the gate on a partial slop sometimes it doesn't but not often at all rather rare. Sorry my answer is not that good cause um no technical expert hope it helps. Get someone senior from a mazda plant in your region those technicians are not good, tell them you request for that just to get a clear explanation. Goodluck

@@subjectivereviews Yeah for me sound happens at breaking and driving below 30mph. I don't have it happen particularly on uphill inclines or while over speedbumps. I have gone on KZread and found someone who says a rod bearing is to blame and that most dealerships will never get to that diagnosis cuz they blindly diagnose and fix. Apparently CX-3s, CX-5s, and CX-9s all can have this issue. And 2020 Mazda 3's and CX-30's from a certain production period were recalled for brake caliper issues (cars had to be from North American factories though) -- my car was 60% made in Mexico or something.

@@SLone3251 true when I went to the dealership the lady there said to me Mazda and even other car companies when they have problems with newly released models they secretly call in some models, they even did so with some cx30s without us all knowing she said.cause if pple know then it becomes like those VW and Ford Kuga scandals. They don't say but some car models are not built well and still sold to people especially when it's a fresh annual release it comes with faults.she said to me rather wait six months after a new model is released for them to iron out the problems and stuff. In your case I think request a senior official cause the guy who helped me said if you were driving on a straight road and slowing down turning your car etc and the sound always crops up then it wouldn't be a weight distribution issue the car would have to be called in to check. So yeah I think do that. Don't be stressed budd just be firm with them you will be fine.

@@subjectivereviews I know it's not a weight distribution issue based off how and when I get the noise. How does one go about requesting a senior exec? This seems like an unusual request and I feel most dealerships would shit their pants and do anything to prevent that from happening. I am in the US and so far have only seen issues from people in Southeast Asia and South Africa (you).

I have been having knocking issues with my mazda3 and I wonder if this may be it. They have replaced the strut, controller arm, and drop link, yet problem still persists. I have a video on my channel of the issue. Perhaps you could take a look and tell me if you think I might be having the same issue. Thanks.
