Brad Makes Pickled Peppers | It's Alive | Bon Appétit
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Welcome back for episode 88 of It's Alive with Brad Leone where this week our man with the plan sets out to pickle peppers. Now, pickled peppers obviously present a great tongue twister for a master linguist like Mr. Leone, but the real appeal lies in that they're delicious and add a kick to nearly anything. Make a jar and it will keep in the fridge for up to two weeks, giving you access to these chill chilies right when you want them.

@@derek9087 certainly if you can them they’d last longer and making more in smaller containers would mean less of the overall batch would be open and exposed to air at any given time. So, yes, I think that’s the way to go if you’re looking for longevity of the product.
@BrandonMSwan
2 жыл бұрын
@@stephencupp7587 usually only a few tablespoons of salt and 1/4 cup or less of the honey in 1:1 water to vinegar. I’ll use more vinegar if I want it to last longer but it’s usually a pretty quick pickle that gets better over a couple days to weeks in the fridge.

To be fair that pan isn't for that, it's the top pan of a double boiler.
The pot looks like the top half of a shallow double boiler. Also, kiwis almost always seem to be looking down. Maybe they’re sad they can’t fly.

It's definitely the top of a double boiler, it's thin on purpose and that weird ridge in the side is meant to fit the lip of the pot below it.
@amaz21

Agree with the double boiler… I believe kiwi birds are always looking down because they are always looking for food. They have nostrils at the end of their beaks that allow them to sense their prey underground (as well as many other interesting characteristics like being flightless)
I would totally watch Brad telling his stories.

Yes! I half expected him to reveal it was perforated bc it looked like the top of a steamer set. 😆
Sometimes, the algorithm is a blessing. You only click on brads videos, you'll see every new video on your timeline.
Looking at the rim near the bottom of the saucepan it might be designed to be used in a double boiler setup. This would also explain the thin bottom.
Been waiting for this for a long time, thanks Brad 🤌🏽
you and your team are so excellent, you carry these guys. i have looked through all the rest of them there is one who is kind of ok but basically it's all you bro
The small pot is the top to a double boiler. Usually for melting chocolate. So glad Brad is back

That pan is for a double boiler, that's why it's thin and has that ring at the base. 😋🤪
The rolling headlines in the LaGuardia bit 😂😂😂
That final attempt on the name was hilarious
“Are they *always* sad?” 😂
I need to make a small jar of these! I agree, if you get a nice Italian meat sub it should have a dash of dried oregano.
Thanks for the great videos. Will be making this! I would also love to know where I could get/order that jacket!! 😍
I think that saucepan is really a double boiler that sits on top of the other saucepan in the back rack. That's why it has the flared bottom. Either way, Brad should start his own channel.
Brad is the reason why I'm still subscribed to this channel
wasn't expecting to watch brad bullying this kiwi... i need a follow-up video of Brad learning about kiwis or meeting one.
