Brad: lectures us on how we need a kitchen scale because it’s precise and inexpensive. Also Brad: uses “glug” as a unit of measurement.

It was really cool how he started his rant about how everyone needs a scale, then caught himself and toned it down because he probably remembered mid-sentence that there are people who are really struggling financially right now.

Absolutely correct. I think it shows a level of self-awareness a lot of celebrities and online personalities completely lack while they flaunt their mansion quarantines to people who are struggling to get by. Brad even did the same for produce where he said to buy better produce if it "within your means". Class act.

I really appreciated that he said that. He sobered up instantly and sounded like he truly meant it. He seems like a genuinely great person.

I hope once Brad's contract with BA is done that he goes off and makes his own show. He deserves his own show and I would love to support it.
2 full minutes of "Who Wants to be a Millionaire" and I regret NONE of it. The drama!
"To appease Garla" I don't think an edit has ever made me laugh so hard.
When this is all over, hopefully this fall, Brad needs to go to Korea for a kimchi special. He'd love how grandma's make kimchi and how they measure xD they use their hands and just say obscure quantities but it always works for them. It's a marvel.

I literally didn't pay attention to a single culinary aspect of this video, but it has some of my favorite Brad-isms all time. I just had it on in the background and it cheered me up.
I want an episode in just fermentation fails. Things he's tried and went horribly wrong, or moldy, or just went gross or some ish. We see the success but this a great time to talk about fails.

im still upset with all the hoohaa that went down in june and ended recently. BA wont ever be the same. i just hope it doesnt affect future video qualities or the morale of the remaining stars. Brad please dont ever lose your golden retriever energy.

Brad happily honking the chili oil literally cured my depression.
Once this quarantine ends, y'all need to do It's Alive Travel edition and send Brad to Korea and have him go exploring the south where there are whole fields of clay pots filled with various types kimchi, pickled (and fermented) veggies and sauces. I'm suggesting Korea because that's the food culture I know but, but he could probably do it in lots of other locales, too. (Thailand and Vietnam?)

Most cultures have fermented foods of some sort. I think Brad could do world tour, visiting each and every country there (well I wouldn't send him Syria or Libya and couple of other countries for obvious reaons) and explore their traditional fermented foods. I'd love to see that, but I acknowledge it's probably too expensive and time consuming to ever become a reality.

My grandmother made her own Sauerkraut, pickles, salsa, hot sauce, kimchi, jam, jelly , grape juice, preserves, picked peaches, marinated vegetables, ice cream , butter, buttermilk, clabber milk, sour cream, cottage cheese, ricotta, cream cheese, canned all the fruit and vegetables in her garden. Homemade ketchup , picked peppers, bread, and so much more. And she was an American. You don't have to travel overseas to find others who has the skills
“Marinate sum beeeans” -Brad, deciding to marinate some beans after hearing his own suggestion for the first time.
I love being entertained while being informed; always a safe bet on BA programs. Brad Leone always takes it to a new level. Brilliant!

Me neither, as a korean.🙋🏻♀️ But Kimchi can be any kinda vegetable as ingredients. I heard that there is carrot kimchi in Russia, which is also interesting;)

Something with cherry, vinegar, sugar, and a lot of citrus. He mentions it in an episode, I don't remember the exact ingredients. I think there's salt and pepper in it too, but I could be wrong!
Thanks for the inspiration - I just started two jars of kimchi this morning. I appreciate the fact that your recipe is different (and more straightforward) than the recipe on the Bon Appetit site.
I honestly can't go without these videos. Everything about it is just awesome XD
the zoom in on the yolks that Claire was complaining about had me in stitches
I like this show because when you read the title you think you’re going somewhere so you board the train. And then you take all these crazy detours through some questionable small towns But at the end of the day you do end up where they said you would end up.
Brad glaring at the camera every time he comes close is killing me 😂
