I couldn't listen to anything from anthrax without Joey's voice , Scot and Charlie made the wrong call back in the day and I think they understand that now .

Don't get me wrong, John Bush is a FANTASTIC singer with some AMAZING pipes, but Anthrax is and always has been the '84 to '92 lineup. No questions about it.

Joey is one of the nicest guys by all accounts, Scott can be a bag from what I've heard. I'm glad they're back together rocking. I would have bet on anthrax to be the biggest of the big 4 in the 80s because they had the best vocalist, Chief Big Way is an A league cover band.

You're right, Joey is a super nice guy. I agree, I always thought they should have been bigger too. Thanks for the feedback Dave.

@O888O888O no he can't, Joey is a more melodic singer, with natural vibrato in his voice, James is a vocalist, who has gotten better. OK but I am glad they are back together. Anthrax solid B leaguers

@O888O888O Interesting, as a huge Metallica fan, I would love to hear what James could do on tracks such as 'In the End' or Anthrax's cover of 'Smokin''... ;) My guess is not much :)

Scott’s story was, if you watch or believe behind the music. That Joey was a drinker and a partier and they weren’t. Which I think is total bullshit. So they said that’s the reason they let him go, he would go and get drunk and they wouldn’t. So who really knows.

@@drummer7557 they definitely were a clean band in most respects, I think Joey has acknowledged he had a problem on some level but you can tell Joey is a very quiet guy typically

Was Joey dismissed from the band during the first reunion in 2006, or did he left on his own?
