I got to see that live. Even though I'm a Chiefs fan, and we lost... It was worth the price of admission just for the flyover and Joey holding that high note. We didn't know the flyover was coming, the crowd was just waiting for him to release the note, and the VROOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!! Awesome, in the true sense of the word!

when i left high school in the late 80's, i moved to the bay area, to make it big in music. like most musicians and vocalists, I played in several bands. it kept things interesting and improved your chances. one band i fronted was called 'the hair band'. we played melodic metal with a flavor of thrash, which was sorta a trend then. and you Mr. Joey Belladonna was my inspiration for leading this band. to see you cover our nations anthem, is incredible. as you beautifully belted the anthem, i kept thinking, 'he's doing all he can to not turn this into a melodic metal song'. :) and had you done so, my brain would have exploded with joy. you are the master. your chops are ridiculous. thank you for doing the anthem justice!
