Boy George Beautiful voice!

I read in his autobiography that he did this video just as he was starting to come off his heroin addiction. He said he would be in extreme physical pain during the shoot and would have cramps in his wrists and frequent heart palpitations and said he kept thinking he was going to die at the shoot.

I'm not a fan of Boy George, but he is a very good reggae singer, and this is a nice performance. Sings with a lot of feeling. No-one could match Ken Boothe's brilliant version.

Song was written by David Gates from Bread. The song was written about his dad who had passed away. Tesla does a good job with it but I think the Bread version is best.

It also doesn't help that his years of smoking (both cigarettes and pot) has left his voice now sounding rather raspy and like an old lady. You definitely heard the effects of that already in the vocals for this song. About half the album this single came from has songs with his vocals sounding absolutely ragged to the point where it's sometimes impossible to ignore.

Omg :P I thought that this song was made by some sort of reggae group like ub40 when I first heared it. This just blew all my expectations ! XD hahah , however its a nice song :)
