I had the privilege of meeting him once. During his visit to Mumbai back in 1989/90, he stayed in a beach side house close to my home.

I was 18 when this was out im 48 now still love it 👌

I'm an atheist but I love the Hare Krishna maha mantra. Its very catchy. Sometimes calming, sometimes stimulating. I stopped eating meat for some reason when I started chanting.

The mantra and that happiness is actually reality. And the reason devotees are trying to chant and hear constantly. The material world and anxiety we experience daily is the temporary illusion ;) When you listen or chant you just reconnect to your true nature 🙌🏽🙏🏽

You know how certain songs you carry all your life, they crop up in your head at certain times depending on your mood? ...well this is one of those songs for me.

I saw BG perform this in Sheffield a fortnight back and he and his band for the evening were fantastic. I'm not even 'a fan' and know nothing of his career (I attended as a care worker) but he was great and this song in particular was sublime.

One of my favorite songs from Boy George. On the Gay thing. Everytime my parents or older person brings it up I answer with the Child Abusing Bing Crosby, the alcoholic Dean Martin, the abuser and user Joan Crawford, the drug addict...it shuts them up.

@@SashaTibelius actually there is no such a desert, nor "jaisalmer" neither "jahshamir" at least in India. There is city of Jaisalmer in the middle of desert Thar in India and there is state Jammu and Kashmir which some people call Jashemir. I think Boy George just used this word in his song having simple idea compose a kind a fancy rhyme.
