Hey listen mate, whoever you are I just want to thank you for your wonderful work. I love boxing history and I'm a humongous Tyson fan. That includes his losses his wins alike he's a fascinating exceptional human being along with being a masterful fighter. I love the channel not only do you have Tyson but you have many other big names in boxing. These post fight interviews previews build ups are something which are almost lost, a die-hard boxing fan will know the fight but he will not remember the build-up and the build-up is part of the whole occasion. You have literally brought Tyson back to the 80s and 90s It feels like I'm in a time capsule every time I watch one of your uploads I love them. Keep up the good work and I think in time more traction will be created but for die-hard boxing fans your channel is extremely unique. I would love to see you put as much as possible even some of the old time fighters if you have anything like that as well or if you can dig it out that will be amazing as well. Joe Lewis sonny Liston Jack Dempsey if possible although that one's going to be quite hard due to the decade he fought! And many other great fighters most of which Tyson admired, middleweights there is a lot of build up and preview footage that you can keep adding you already have a lot so don't get me wrong what you've got so far is amazing man! I only recently subscribed but I have been watching your work for a few months just had no time to log on my phone and actually subscribe 😅

Seeing Mike shaking hands and laughing with McBride before the fight was a clear indicator that Mike was done.

I would say that would not be too unusual of him, particularly during his prime. Against Lewis he was purposely acting up for more exposure for both.. Mike is usually respectful of all fighters that said yes it's true I think deep down he knew that he was done however I don't think he realised he was going to have a difficult fight and feel tired against McBride. Yes it's almost tragic to watch how the very person they roared for him to destroy his opposition and when he couldn't do it anymore disgustingly they threw at him without any respect for such a legendary fighter that clearly should have retired previously.

I was so disgusted with Tyson’s quitting in the ring that I didn’t record any postfight coverage.

Love these old highlights. Do you happen to have any of the crazy things Tyson was saying in 2002 when he was training in Hawaii? It was on that Cnn/Si channel and the things Mike was saying was hilarious

I don't believe so. If I did, it would probably be on Boxing: Lewis vs. Tyson Prefight (2002) - part 1 or 2. I did a KZread search for Mike Tyson Hawaii, and a FOX News half-hour clip popped up. It was unedited from Tyson's profanity and subject matter. Could that be the one you're thinking of?

@@BoxingOutsidetheRopes It wasn't that fox one, it was him saying "everybody says they believe in God but they don't do God work." And he said "We find out Michael Jordan cheats on his wife, we all cheat on our fckin wives." It was when he said to that woman " That's why I won't talk nice to you, and talk about phonicating with you."

@@BoxingOutsidetheRopes Thanks, and I learned from that Time in Hawaii in 2002 while Tyson was training - that he usually doesn't do reports with women unless he phonicates with them.

Unfortunately, no. At the time, I remember being so disgusted with Tyson that I didn't record any postfight clips.

@@BoxingOutsidetheRopes Lol, same here, I recorded EVERYTHING from the Botha fight all the way up until the McBride fight, I would literally sit by the television all day, every day with the channel on espn whenever a Tyson fight was coming up, and then IMMEDIATELY switch back when the fights(which I would also record) would be over, and get all the post fight stuff as well, I pretty much have all the same stuff as you do, but the cheap vhs tapes I used are pretty much unwatchable now, which is why I like this channel so much, I can relive all those memories, and put this stuff on disc where it will actually last. I also didn't bother recording the post McBride stuff because I was disgusted with him as well, there was some lame post fight press conference that I had, where they started applauding him for the career he had, and he told them not to, that's pretty much all I remember. So have you now posted all your Tyson stuff, or is there more to come? If not, thanks for everything you've contributed, this channel is by FAR the best place on youtube for Tyson coverage, much more so than the Ultimate Mike Tyson channel, which used to be king.

Thanks, man. I appreciate it. It sounds like we were the same kind of boxing nerds with our recording techniques. Ha! I think I remember that postfight press conference you mentioned. I think that's where Tyson says, "My career has been over since 1990." Yes, that's pretty much all my Tyson stuff, at least that I categorized as "Tyson." Next, I'm getting into the rest of my Boxing collection, so there will be some Tyson stuff I pull from that. Thanks for your kind words, and thanks for watching.
