He does help train some guys in California. Bear in mind: The "peek-a-boo" tactic only works for swarmers, it's not for most boxers. Believe it or not: He's often criticised for being too nice on training boxers and not being strict enough.

I remember watching this live, friends around my neighborhood all got together and chipped in to order the PPV. Hell I was barely a teenager so it was awesome to see Tyson during this time as obviously the few years prior to this he was in jail and before that I only remember some things as a kid. Great memories from this fight, ALL of us wanted Tyson to destroy this guy... and he did.

Did better? Spinks was beaten before he even got in the ring and so was Mcneeley. Mcneeleys plan was to throw everything at Mike, including headbutts, for as long as he could until Mike inevitably knocked him out. That was what happened essentially. Mcneeleys corner was gonna stop it as SOON as he got hurt, which was just alot quicker than everyone thought. Was a mismatch from the beginning but they weren't going to put Mike in the ring with a class opponent in his first fight in almost 4 years. If Mcneeleys corner didnt stop it, Mike would have a few seconds later.

You could count on one hand the amount people Tyson had in his corner when he was with Kevin Rooney. It was just 2 or 3 people. He does help train some guys in California. Bear in mind: The "peek-a-boo" tactic only works for swarmers, it's not for most boxers. Believe it or not: He's often criticised for being too nice on training boxers and not being strict enough.

I remember watching this live, friends around my neighborhood all got together and chipped in to order the PPV. Hell I was barely a teenager so it was awesome to see Tyson during this time as obviously the few years prior to this he was in jail and before that I only remember some things as a kid. Great memories from this fight, ALL of us wanted Tyson to destroy this guy... and he did.
I remember watching this as a kid me n my family were like thank god for this illegal cable box lol lol paying 49.95 for this would have anybody furious

Did better? Spinks was beaten before he even got in the ring and so was Mcneeley. Mcneeleys plan was to throw everything at Mike, including headbutts, for as long as he could until Mike inevitably knocked him out. That was what happened essentially. Mcneeleys corner was gonna stop it as SOON as he got hurt, which was just alot quicker than everyone thought. Was a mismatch from the beginning but they weren't going to put Mike in the ring with a class opponent in his first fight in almost 4 years. If Mcneeleys corner didnt stop it, Mike would have a few seconds later.

It is amazing to see all these people around Tyson that you never even saw when Tyson was still training with Kevin Rooney, Teddy Atlas and some of the guys from Cus' gym. You could count on one hand the amount people Tyson had in his corner when he was with Kevin Rooney. It was just 2 or 3 people. In this video you see like 50 dudes around him and they are all expecting a paycheck.

Really, imo the 89, black medium short curly haired Tyson, pre side cut, is the best form he ever was in... the extra pounds of muscle which made him look more lean made him those nanoseconds slower. Nah, curly Mike was an ubermensch specimen.
I remember that fight. I was 16 when this happened...we all thought Tyson was gonna knock him out b4 Round 3...behold it took less then 2 min! Hahaha we were going nuts!
