Boxing footwork to use in the ring. Part 5 Pivoting in and pivoting out
Спорт
Pivoting is a great way to get around your opponent immediately. While moving in straight lines and in circles help to control positioning, pivoting can take you around your opponent in an instance setting up a surprise counter punch or attack. Pivoting out is usually the easier to learn as you are going away from you opponent. While pivoting in is more risky and requires good timing to pull off. It's a good move if you know how and when to use it. Great for setting up a righthand over their shoulder that they don't see coming. But, if you pivot in while an opponent switches stances you will run into an uppercut. This is why I like to have my boxers slip off the line before pivoting in or out. Lastly, a pivot-in, usually only works at close to mid-range.
