@@PrecisionBoxing Hey. Thanks for the video. Do you know where I can find knickers like those the boxer is wearing? (The grey ones)

This was by far the most helpful video for me personally. Sometimes I over emphasize avoiding every punch especially when I'm backed up and this gasses me out

You cant avoid every punch, unless your name is Mayweather or Lomachenko
Footage of you two sparring would be legit more exciting than a lot of pro fights today.

that "fitness guy" you're referring to is nate bower, he is a former golden glove champion, and they're just drilling and keep things minimal so no need for footwork and all that because he just needs his feet to position himself for striking JT
Nate's arms length seems a nightmare for anybody right? :D

JT's objective is about staying calm and focused while under the drill. I'm sure he could counter some of Nate's front foot motion if he needed too. Great video.

JT - you're always providing some of the best boxing advice I get. Considering you were only working defence and he's got about 6" reach on you, he hardly got anything through. Please keep it up!

Vmax Rocks actually looking at it again. He didn't really allow him to get any angles on him. He always had one foot in and against and always looked for the punch
Love the increase in videos hope you don't burn yourself out . Always love your content keep it up !

Very good video guys always a pleasure JT your defense was on point👍🏽
Love this video. Short and to the point with demonstrations. More videos like this, please.
I'll be sure to employ this in my training! Thanks for the useful info as always :)
Great stuff, glad you guys collaborated

Awesome defence JT!
You’re the man!!! Great drill, great moving ;)
Good work man, your defense is tight. Moving really good pal, thanks for the tips
Huge problem in my first sparring...I just saw gloves and my eyes just wanted to close when punches came. Really difficult to get the vision thing going. This was really helpful. Great vids!
You always have some thoughts to the very beginners in it. I like this side of your personality very much.
One of the very few KZread Boxing instructors I trust with Boxing development
Love ur videos man! Both of you are great and I’m learning so much from you guys! Blessings from chiapas mexico!
Wow dude, thanks a lot for your videos, very useful! keep on it!
great video and very helpful you guys understand your audience.
You are an excellent trainer!
This is just great, thanks!
Actually you are my boxing coach. I have couch Kolat for wrestling, Scott Adkins and GNT for kicks. I use your precision Chanel’s more than any of them. Started making a style that works best for me. Your shifting drills brought my game to a whole different level that I can incorporate with TKD footwork and kicking as well as punches. Thank you. Your an awesome boxer and coach. 🙏✊🏼
Best drill right here , teaches you how to handle that flight mode when you are taking combo punches !
Nice vid ! Wen I was a yung dude, my trainer was obsessed wit defense !! He didnt teach me my 1st combo till my defense was rock solid !!!
Great Stuff!
Great video 📹 I really enjoyed it
always moving and hands are up!good technique!!

Excellent!
Great drill man!!! Perfect.!!! I will safe this video!!
really good info. I'm not a boxer but am always looking to improve.
Thanks like always
This is exactly what I needed! How'd you know Van? haha. My coach just started drilling my defense and I'm having problems keeping my balance as I find I move my whole body back and forth or side-to-side way too much. This vid is perfect. Thanks as always!
Amazing defence!
Great stuff as always!! I was looking for more footwork from you, more side stepping and creating angles on the Defense. Great content though as always!! Thanks !!!

+Vernon Thomas thanks, the point of this drill is to not use footwork and lateral motion. It's to actually stay in the mix and work on defense. I guess I didn't emphasize that in the intro
Very nice defense sir
Nice one guys
Thanks so much 😢👍🏻
This is such a valuable video and great points made, I have been boxing at a high level and mauy thai for 20 years now and never see all the new wave MMA etc in the gyms doing these basic drills for defence, its one thing coming forward but taking punches/pressure, learning to be relax and have balance is one of the largest skillets i feel not taught or practiced, it makes so much difference in sparing, i do this drill for at least three rounds in the ring eery session weather thai or boxing, JT and his partner here show a very good example of invaluable skill set learning and practices, all his videos are extremely good, subscribe people.
thank you so much from KSA
you are a legend
thanks J T !!

I would say juggling with 3 balls while looking far away is a good trainingstool too....Thanks for the videos
I'm yet to find one single video on this channel that isn't top class.
Very good
wow with Nate!! this is useful!! so this is JT vs NB... heheh hope more to learn with this amazing dudes...
These videos are amazing. I made a rough summary but I would obviously watch and learn directly form the video. He's the teacher! (VISION AND BALANCE.) - Make sure you can see the opponent, don't get distracted by hands. - Look past the hands, not at them. LOOK AHEAD LIKE DRIVING. - Keep feet balanced, Balance first. Not slipping. Balance comes before slipping. Also Stream Spotify : kingrjun. - Got to plug aha! - KEEP COMPOSURE. FOCUS! - THANK YOU!
Thanks

Cheers for the Video! Apologies for the intrusion, I would appreciate your thoughts. Have you thought about - Chireetler Dread Free Rule (Sure I saw it on Google)? It is a smashing exclusive guide for learning self effective defence moves without the normal expense. Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my friend after many years got great success with it.
This is kinda helping me stop flinching
QUALITY!
JT, Nate, Johnny best of the best
diddy daddy back again, good video man!!
I needed this cause I flinch a lil too much
Good sparring 👍😉
That looks fun
can u make a video on how to fight tall boxers?
JT you are doing great and you're a true inspiration.. Nate on the other hand should stick with fitness because he boxes like every other average amateur guy.
Good guy
You think you can give me a tip and do you have a video of throwing many combos while not being off guard or balance ? I use the 1-2 a lot and always worry about throwing too many combos because I don't want to have my guard down too long, but I want throw my hands without an still feel like I'm protected and not reckless.
a good thing to do is to focus on shoulder movement
@aazadmuhammad4643
5 жыл бұрын
What he means is It’s natural for any fighter to flinch for ard 0.5 to 1 sec before throwing a punch or a kick. For boxers, focusing on shoulder movements is basically knowing which hand your opponent might eventually throw by reading them leaning on which shoulder (left or right) It may be too much to focus on, so it’s best to practice this with your sparring partner. Whatever he did in this video is a perfect example. Letting the guy with the advantage in terms of reach and height be the offensive fighter & him just focusing on his partner. Shoulder movement works efficiently for slips & weaving.

The Last Round glad to help my brother
Coach, what is the best place to keep your eyes during sparring? Do you keep them fixated on a certain spot on the opponent? Or just forward in general? Lately I’ve found when I have an opponent come In with a flurry, sometimes I’m shelling up and looking down or low and sort of clam into an ineffective defense. Tend to do it more with nervy, aggressive opponents... any advice would help.
Nate is what i'd imagine a terminator boxer version
Muito bom!!!👏👏👏
WOOAAAH!!
I can learn 🥊
really good !!
great vid. plan on adding this to my routine. is there anything to consider differently if your opponent is trying to fight on the inside? thanks again for the vids!
@PrecisionBoxing

+Melvin Perez on the inside it will be less head movement and more of a tight guard. Keep your focus through your gloves and go by feel
Please upload a video on right hook.
I don’t consider myself to be anything special. I only consider myself as an MMA practitioner. I love boxing just as much possibly more. Do you have any tips for cutting 50lbs for a weigh in? Should I cut now and get used to practicing at 155 for a while or should I cut right before weigh in and eat put on weight before exhibition?
To the uploader: where do I get knickers like the ones the boxer is wearing? Please answer(the grey ones)
Hey JT Van V I was wondering if you would be able to tell me what heavy bag I should be using for my weight. I weigh 195lbs and I'm 5ft8 and at my gym they have an 85pound bag but I kill that thing. I'm trying to make my own boxing gym at my house but didn't know what size heavy bag I should get for boxing workout/ conditioning?
Hey man, I was wondering if I could get some advice. So basically, my coaches have been bringing in different fighters to help prepare me for my first mma fight. The issue with one of the guys that they brought in, is that this man is a straight up brawler. He's very pressure heavy, and can eat knockout shots like a snack. I tried cutting angles, but he's very explosive so he just cut me off. When I used head movement, he has a way of following you that I've never seen before. When I tried to just cover and counter punch, he hit like a freight train, so I even though I blocked his shots and fed him some really decent shots, I felt every single one. I've never felt in so much danger since I first started fighting. What would I do in that situation? I need help...
I love boxing
that shows good defense compensates opponent's longer range... at a certain point
