Heartfelt condolences on such a tragic loss. I can relate, as I lost my cousin Erick in the same month and year (Sunday July 14th 2019 to be exact), victim of suicide. He was more than just my cousin, he was the brother I never had, we grew up in the same household in Bogotá - Colombia.. RIP 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻😭😭😭

This song takes me back to the time, when my High School Sweet Heart, broke me. I was like that guy in the Wedding Singer, so I moved to Hollywood and got into playing with bands on the Sunset Strip. Years later, she seen me and gave me the Classic , " I made a mistake speech..... we were together from 1982 to 1987 ....so I told her write me a letter and have it delivered to me in October 1987, when I gave a crap !!!!!

Brad Delp. IMO one of the greatest voices in Rock.

So often its the young women that catch the eyes of older men, but it isn't perversion to notice something younger than you. It's not always a physical attraction but being drawn to their innocents because we have lost ours so long ago. They serve to reminds us of things we lost along the highways of life. I'm certain women have the similar esperiences. Life, bills, children, ex wives and all that goes with them can tear us down. But a smile from such a woman can give you strength to start again.

I sang this (and many other songs) for my wife Amanda at our wedding reception. I had practiced for months on my home Karaoke system, full amp, mike, and speakers. I was so in love, I could barely make it through. Thank God the DJ stepped in to help me. I also couldn't make it through "Go Rest High on That Mountain" onm own which I sang for her recently departed grandfather. Pretty much the best day and night of my life. That was fifteen years ago. Sadly, Amanda divorced me last year. Sometimes I just check in to see if I can still sing it without crying. Not quite there yet.

She still sets my heart aflutter three decades later...
