I love hearing you talk about the books you see. Not many book store vlogs do that anymore, they just show a few snippets of books and then get into a haul. I like knowing why you look at certain books and it's a plus if they read the synopsis like you do. Anyway, I'm going to subscribe now lol.

And girl you are so funny and relatable, “Nathan Chen signed this, he touched it🤣”. “A great cover, but so disappointing” you hit the nail on the head with most books I read. Drawn in my the cover and let down by execution. And love the little foot skid walking in to B&N, I do the same thing! “I don’t want to buy anything full price” OMG you speak my language! Six of crows is literally my all time favorite book, I just finished re-reading it! And there is romance in Six of crows but it’s VERY VERY minuscule. The whole point is that the romance is very subtle so it won’t ruin the book for u!

I've had that issue with the buy one get one 50% off. They wouldn't price match what was online. So I just bought them online for 'pick up' at that very store so there wasn't any shipping fee.

Sucks that they don’t price match the sale :( I was going to do that but the person at checkout implied I’d be waiting long for the processing time / getting the books ready (even tho I had them in my hand 😭) so I decided to leave since it was already a bit late n just ordered it online HAHA. But now we know I guess!

@@tiachu When I did it, it did take about 20-30 min to get "my order is ready" email but I'm sure every store is different. I just continued to browse around or read til it was ready!

I hope you will love "The Great Believers." The good part about the novel is that although it is sad, the author didn't forget to give us a couple of light, sweet, funny moments. The juxtaposition with the sad events was so much stronger but at the same time it didn't sap the will to live out of me. Makkai has become my favorite writer recently. If you enjoy "The Great Believers" I also recommend "The Burrower." That one is legit funny. So glad I found your channel. And I appreciate your self-restraint. I've been failing recently at limiting my book purchasing :D

wow I am in absolute awe of this comment, you just made me 100x MORE excited for The Great Believers!!!!! I’m glad it’s not sad/tragic the entire time and feels emotionally draining (I’ve heard that for example about A Little Life). I’ll be adding The Burrower to my TBR 🫶🏼🫶🏼 SO GLAD YOURE HERE NOW N I hope you’ve found some cheap books!!! spy x family is so good you have to finish it! the first season is complete and the second one is coming out this year i believe (don’t quote me on that though) the only manga i’ve collected (besides spyxfamily) is yona of the dawn, i have around 20 volumes of it i think and i just love that series so so much. if you’re ever looking for a historical fantasy manga with a beautiful found family, a badass female main character with incredible character growth, and a SLOW slow burn romance, i highly recommend yona of the dawn it’s just so good😭 (it’s 30+ volumes and still ongoing but trust me it’s worth the commitment) please do a reading vlog for six of crows, i’d love to see your reaction to it!! i wish i could read six of crows for the first time again, like the emotions i felt (and still feel) for that book are just unmatched i love that series so much

Ugh you’re so right, I really do need to finish spy x family!! Idk why I fell off, I was watching every week and then I just stopped LOL. but it’s sooo cute n I love everyone 😭 And OOOOHHH yona of the Dawn sounds amazing!! I think my favorite trope right now is found family 💗 will def add to my manga tbr :-))) AND EEEEII IM SOO excited to start six of crows - I’ve heard NOTHINGGG but good things about it so I’ll def vlog

As a fantasy lover who got back into reading this year, I recommend Sue Lynn Tan’s debut duology: Daughter of the Moon Goddess and Heart of the Sun Warrior!!! This is my first video of yours, so I’m not sure if you’ve read it, BUT ITS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! (side note: I literally just finished the Six of Crows duology- it kept me on my toes the entire time! And the multiple povs, is a nice touch to all the chaos going on)
