The snowman by Raymond Briggs is a big British core childhood thing. They illustrated a film for it in the 90s and it is beautiful if you can find a copy of it please watch it ❤️ Raymond passed away a couple of years ago. He was in his 80s but he was pretty much the core author for all us kids growing up in the 90s in the Uk. Father Christmas by Raymond Briggs is the actual best book ever ❤️🙌🙏

Amy's message really made me tear up. I am a former elementary now middle school teacher and it is so hard on many days. But it is true ,for so many kids school is their safe place and for a lot of them christmas at home is nothing to look forward to. So I will grab my Percy Jackson book tomorrow morning, bring some christmas cookies and try to make their day a little bit brighter. Thank you so much for your wonderful Vlogmas, Morgan. Hey sweet spirited one...I absolutely LOVE your new lip color and your lashes!! The phone message at the end of the video made me cry...I was a nanny for over ten years. Some of my little charges lived in very sad, dysfunctional households. I struggled to make Christmas special and happy for them. 🌲💕

The Snowman is such a great movie! It’s very quick, maybe 20 minutes! It’s all music, no dialogue besides the narrator in the beginning. It’s my dad’s favorite movie and we watch it all Christmas season long. I highly recommend this!

Oh my fave bookshop in Portland. 🥰I was just there picking up a used book this week. Tell Landon he has a good eye because in all the years I have been going to Powells I have never noticed the old writing on the store beams. Morgan I absolutely love The Snowman. The book has such beautiful illustrations and I have the movie on dvd. A holiday favorite. 💜

Because of your videos, it will be a life goal of mine to visit Portland just to visit Powell's. What a great bookstore to have a whole section just for Roo. The best thing about this move I keep talking about, is that when I finally get to my brother's - we have to stay with a family friend for a while first - I will be able to return to Chamblin's Bookmine, a huge treasure trove of a bookstore I have dearly missed.

Where I live, the film adaptation of The Snowman is broadcast on TV every Christmas eve, it's a tradition to watch it for me. The soundtrack to the film, "Walking in the air" composed by Howard Blake, is absolutely beautiful and always makes me cry. We LOVE The Snowman in England! It is on every Christmas, and I have the snow dog as a standing up Christmas statue, who is looking out of one of my upstairs bedroom windows, so anyone outside can see him when it is dark. He has white lights inside him, that are on a timer, and run by batteries - I LOVE him, with his socks on his ears! The music is so magical in the animated film too - highly recommended. So good to see you in your favorite book shop again, and it just makes me want to buy all the books you are looking at! Great video as always Morgan, thank you! I've literally just finished watching yesterday and this popped up!! Can't wait!!

It's hard to believe that I was in Portland and saw Powell's but didn't go in. Your great Aunt Carole was with me and sadly she's a proud non reader. 😮 I would not have wanted to leave. My town just got an independent bookstore last year and it's in an old storefront so it is nothing short of magical! I'm interested in looking into your picks. IMSLP (International Music Score Library Project) is a wonderful source of public domain sheet music from composers of old! It's amazing that Powell's has an entire area dedicated to sheet music. I had no idea 🥰 It's so fun getting a peek inside Powell's! My dad spent his early adulthood living in Portland and has raved out Powell's for as long as I can remember. It's nice to "visit" the store with your vlogs and I hope to see it in person some day!

A bookstore that sells sheet music...I haven't seen that in years. I do read sheet music, and play piano but it's really hard to find hard copy sheet music anywhere. How special to see this. Debussy is one of my favourites too.

These are always my favorite videos to watch. I love all your cozy & heartwarming videos but especially the ones about books or book recommendations. I always take out new books I want to read and search Goodreads for blurps etc. I put myself on a book buying ban for 2024 because I have a huge pile of books I still need to read 😂 So thank you Morgan for always inspiring us ❤

I just saw that part of the papercut. I'm so sooorryyy! I loathe them! They hurt and itch! Carry a small bottle of hand sanitizer to disinfect. I also use it at the grocery store to get the tip of my fingers humid in order to open those darn plastic bags for produce.

Someday I would love to go to Powell’s. It looks amazing! Give yourself a treat and watch the animated version of The Snowman also. As a former Kindergarten teacher, I used to watch this every year with my class. They were always amazed that it had no words! And the music!!! Oh, I was so happy when you discovered that book. ❤

I really loved this video. It felt so slow paced and peaceful (similar to the previous one), which I'm enjoying a lot. This time of year, we tend to fall into a fast pace of getting things ready for Christmas, etc. and it can be tiring. So thank you, Morgan, for giving us something that's comforting and calm. I haven't done a Jane Austen quiz before, but I think I would be an Eleanor or Fanny Price😅. I think it is magical that you can read sheet music - it's like understanding another language. I sang in a choir for years as a second Alto, but I had to memorise the parts because I couldn't read the music 😅. Did you also sing in a choir? Hope you guys are keeping well. 😊
