Before my Dad passed away he was one of the best pianists in the country. He played for the likes of Dolly Parton, Patsy Cline and many others. We played some gigs for different situations and this was a style he truly excelled at. I played guitar and two of my very best friends played bass and drums. We had a blast. I have not heard anyone play this style of music anywhere as close as Dad could until now. Just fantastic! Brings back some great memories for me but Dona Oxford, you are one talented musician.

We had a sax player in our band...one time while waiting for info on where to set up band...we were sitting in a foyer area where a baby grand piano was sitting...our sax player went over to it and started playing killer stuff as seen here. He was phenomenal! Blew us away! We of course went and bought him a keyboard...he was awesome on the sax too! That was the best band I ever played in...we stayed very busy too! 😁👍

You should try out Johan Blohm then. He is not as wild, but he is widely held to be one of the best, if not THE best Boogie Woogie players in the world.

Now THIS is Boogie Woogie! About the hottest nonstop improv I've ever heard! Love it!

I heard that before rock and then never heard it again until the 2020’s. It’s still great! We had a piano and one of my sisters boy friends came over and started playing boogie woogie and blew me away. This was about 1950 .

This is the first time I’ve heard Dona Oxford play. WOW. SHE IS AMAZING. I wish I could play like her!

WOW! There aren't many accomplished boogie-woogie female players and Dona is setting the bar VERY high! I liked her narrative explaining what she was doing! GO DONA!
