Bones Brigade - The Search For Animal Chin 1987

Музыка

The Search for Animal Chin is a 1987 skateboarding film featuring the Bones Brigade. It is one of the first skateboarding films to have a plot, rather than simply a collection of skateboarding stunts and music videos.
An early version of the screenplay by John Smythe, titled "The Rollersurfing Quest for Animal Chang", was damaged by some ranch dressing. Producer Stacy Peralta misread the name of the title character "Animal Chang" as "Animal Chin", and liked the name so much that the title and the character's name were officially changed.

I used to watch this when I was a kid. It inspired me so much that I would mimic these guys and wanted to Skate and Explore just like they did in the movie. Every time I would go out and cruise and pop an ollie up a curb... and keep going using frontside 90 slides to slow down, so I wouldn't hit an old lady with her cane, I would think wow i'm not stopping (sorry lady) for anyone. Every now and then a spot would look good for some drops and ollies off high ledges (some drops could be a pretty bad slam). Then the rules of society would say please find somewhere else to be young lad. I continued to skate and explore and move along, move along. I am simple rider and like to flow like these guys do when they cruise. I only wish we had some better ramps and bowls to skate where I lived back then. But I had access to a rad board like they had, and made due with what we had to skate. The concrete was my park. It was fun. Now as and old man I am still having fun and cruising, and I believe I found this Animal Chin (FUN!!!). I think that having "'Fun" is always something that we should find when ever real life gets in our way. Thanks Bones Brigade for the wonderful gift of riding and having fun!!

This takes me back to some of my greatest memories as a young kid . We all looked for Animal Chin in our towns . I almost found him once on a rad handrail but he eluded me as usual! He had a way of slipping through your fingers like a finger-board. I finally found him at a local mega ramp in the out house , he was relieving himself . What he said will always shock me , “bad Day, Never eat Spam and Cabbage with a glass of buttermilk! 😮 Fun fact: Animal Chin was said to have only used Powell Peralta decks exclusively, with Thunder trucks and G-Bones wheels. German bearings, and he was the inventor of Rip-grip

Michael Pelstano Hell yeah, I was 10 when this came out, and I started skating in '82 or so, on my little blue plastic "free former," and my first "real skateboard" was a 2nd-hand ALVA with Gull-Wing trucks, that I got from a kid down the street in the mid-80s...Watching this makes me miss so many old skate spots that are no longer around anymore... RIP Wieboldt's parking garage! (Wieboldt's was a Chicago-area department store chain that closed in June '87, and for the next 6-7 years, before it was demolished, there was a great 2-level parking garage that was one of the best skating spots in my area).

So this is the famous bones brigade movie that my surf buddy told me I need to see, sorry I'm a little late,I died in a car accident, but its good to still be around a whoo...but come on man the wallows is cool I guess this is the place where it all began...like I said I'm thankful for those smart surfers who started skating during the winter months when there are no waves in Hawaii...but come on Tony Hawk, the guy doesn't look any thing like him at all,and his hair is so fake,Lance Mountain I know Lance when I see him,not even close, and there s no way that dude is Steve Caberlero ,Steve is way better than that dude Steve would never die his hair that color he looks to much like a surf guy,May it Sonny Garcia but you can't fool me,I know that ain't Caberlero,ok that guy looks a lot like Mike Magill that one I believe, still seeing the wallows is really cool the birth place of boarding, worth putting up with those fake stunt skater stand in and Hollywood look alikes its a movie so when big money steps in you get what you get, very disappointing to this old vert skater......hah ha just kidding, thanks man,but seriously tony have your mom by you a comb and may be Vanilla ice can loan you some gel...that dude had some style...and he raced MX and was into mustang...piece out man Just kidding thank for trip back in time.Cool.

lol. Yeah, and every trick you have ever seen performed was invented by one of those crap skaters from back then. He even invented the board shape that you pop up on today! Skating was also kept alive by Tony Hawk when everyone else pulled away! He singled handed helped pushed it to where it is today. Research your shit before you make another daft comment
