Its hard to hear things when there all mixed together but when you get them seperated it all starts making sense...

@@ShayneCutlerit's like a good stew you know there's a ton of ingredients in there but that's not what you taste when you get a mouthful. It's when you separate the ingredients like the beef from the carrots that you can really taste the difference

Warren do an episode on how to achieve that kind of verb and delay on a vocal like that. It seems to surround him instead of just clouding and masking his vocal.

Sounds like the reverb is sent to a delay as opposed to the vocal, check out the cla video where he explains his reverb techniques

This is why performing a song is so much more manageable and flexible to sustain the energy of, than say a whole play. This is how things innocently start, and then slip into becoming full blown operas and rock operas. 😂 Then it becomes a full blown athletic event. Next thing you know, you just can't stop. 🤣You gotta rock & roll all night after to relax.😁Then you've just gotta find the Jim Steinman song to satiate and wrap up the night so you can sleep. Oh no. Clearly I love it too.

He actually had a atrophied vocal cord..he had surgery in 2022 to try to rebuild a new one ..he is 61..he clearly will never be able to sing that way again..but man, would I love to see him be able to at least perform half as good again..its been so hard to watch him struggle with this and hearing the shit talking fair weather fans..he ..he is such a good man and a genuine performer and it had to be killing him to have this happen to his throat..but..maybe the surgery will at least give him a chance to perform again for their 40th...but..I think for Jon to get 5hr best version of his current voice he really needs his partner back..Richie..yes Richie messed up ..but their voices together just can't be beat..sorry..but his replacement simply can't sing ....and it matters ..A LOT

While the original wouldn't have been a plugin, there's loads of plugins these days that accurately emulate the reverbs that would've been used in that era. I'm guessing it would've been some EMT plate reverb or something like that?
