    I love this movie, but during live aid Radio Gaga was cut a little short, and We Will Rock you and Crazy little Thing Called love were deleted scenes for some reason

    This is 18 minutes of perfectly choreographed physical acting. Not just Rami, but all four of them. Even when the actor is not the focus of the shot and just in the background, they are still in lock-step the original. Just so so good.

    He says how when the policeman says her majesty queen he always got tingles and he was screaming. He was saying how many people were crying their eyes out and singing the songs. He still says how it's the best concert he's ever been to

    At first they hired a choreographer for Rami and that didn't work, so they hired a movement coach and that worked. (Of course, Rami studied Freddie's act as well.) They filmed Live Aid before the rest of the movie because if the concert didn't come off, then they would have to find a different lead. Good thing it worked... one of my favourite movies of all time.

    I think Freddie would be so proud of Rami’s performance of him! The Live Aid concert, well…his movements were spot on. He did even the littlest of movements just like Freddie! They couldn’t have picked a better actor to portray Freddie! ❤😘

    I watched this live on the day, and I knew then it was probably the greatest live performance there had ever been. Now, nearly forty years later, it still is. You will never see anyone put more into a 20 minute guest spot in the middle of a hot July day than Freddie did that day. He was the best, and much missed.

    i Watched this live when (on tv) when i was a kid it, the whole thng was 5miles from my house and i could stand in my back garden and hear it. For some reason Queen made me cry then and it does now when I watch it. the fucking power and the clival pull of them was amazing

    Seeing it like this, you can really appreciate the attention to detail. Not just the actor mirroring the moves, but the couple of times when the cameras are following and it matches what's on the right because you're seeing it on TV. That is how you know you have people that know what they're doing.

    Please, I don't mean to minimize Rami's performance, I loved the whole BoRhap movie, but I think it's ironic how DiCaprio waited all his life to win his well deserved Oscar in his many decades of being main character on multiple movies and all I remember is Rami Malek being the Pharaoh at Night at the Museum. Now you can stone me and spit in my eye.

    @@Gisellenid Rami Malek was in the HBO mini series, The Pacific. He was awesome in that. He was in many other shows and films, just go on IMDb and have a look. You remember him from 1 movie, so that just means you have not seen him in anything else, you should watch his other shows/films.

    @@derekdelboytrotter8881 I'm just comparing both careers. Actually I only remembered Rami at NATM when they pass the 3rd part on cable tv a couple of months ago. "Hey look! That's Freddie!" I haven't seen him on Mr. Robot or other projects. Again, I think he did a great job, but I haven't seen the other Oscar nominated films to compare.

    The only thing that could have made this moment even more special would have been if Queen could've dropped one song (Hammer To Fall?), and instead had David Bowie join them on-stage for Under Pressure. That would have been so magical!

    not to mention his The Pacific gloomy soldier... by the way Joseph Mazzielo was there too (John Deacon here, bass player). In fact if the guy he portrayed, Eugene Sledge, the soldier turned bird watcher, had not written With the old Breed - at Peleliu and Okinawa, starting off the Pacific series half a century later, we might never have seen Rami Malek act as Freddie.

The young man actor who portrayed Eugene Sledge was played by the kid in very first Jurassic Park (Tim the one who got fried,lol) Oh wow, I had forgotten about Snafu!!! Oh you're so right, he was creepily fantastic (tossing stones into the skull of a man that' s head had been half blown off) He was also pretty funny in a goofy sitcom. He was not the star, some other kid was. I remember Michael Rappaport played the star kids dad. I should have looked it up before coming here!! But he played a gay teenager, who's very closeted, but funny.

    And I was so disapointed. Okay, the show was really awesome but there was so much more to tell about Freddie's life in this movie. Like when he recorded "The show must go on" first try while he was almost dying. Instead they give us 20min of live AIDS and a message on a black screen "Freddie died of aids". It's sad.

    Rami Malek's precision timing, & acting simultaneously is phenomenal ! He deserved that Oscar for best actor. He worked his ass off to give the world the performance of a lifetime!

    I heard that Elton said Freddy and the band ruined it for the rest of them; he (they) were that good! :) Love it!!! He was the entertainer of the times for sure! I loved Queen - I don't think they'll be another like them.

    @@irishn8 i still belive sacha baron cohen is much better for this role before saw the movie , and after oscar prize and see many good cooment for rami , i hope when i watch movie its change my mind, but if you just saw a freddie show or interview, there is a so touchable difference between them , rami try make it more sissyboy gay person , freddie more manish and powerfull in physic and speech , at all i cant Communicate with this actor in freddie role...... by the way i know freddie from while...., not just with this movie .
