Boeing 747 Flight deck banter….
Hello everyone! Just got back from a flight to Chongqing in China. So what do pilots do while waiting for loading etc to be completed when we’ve done all our preflight checks? We sometimes play some game for usually newly qualified pilots on the fleet. I show you on the flight deck here. Hope you ‘get it’ as it were.

😎 🤣🤣 👍
😊
Obet, do pilots still use ground ATIS and/or Volmets that transmit on HF frequencies these days ... or do they rely on weather data being sent via CPDLC.
🤣🤣🤣😂😅
Hey, context?! Please reply to me!
LOL~~
next time hope you can say something in mandarin😂
Careful with trying to pull off other nationalities language captain, the trolls will accuse you of the "r" word, safe flying
How it programed to other language? Who programed it? 😅 Sounds interesting 🙂

It's not programmed but transmitted in a loop in those two languages. The airport is in China so they announce it in Chinese well (that's why they give the transition altitude in meters rather than in feet because in China they use the metric scale for the height).

@user-ng5jj6vq4z I don't think so. I'm in Germany and never heard about German ATIS/METAR or the likes.
