Boeing 747: Aircraft documents to be carried

Hello everyone and how do you do?
In this clip, I explain a little about legal documents that we must carry on board to present to aviation authorities in any country if they are demanded. Just as you have in your vehicle, you must have the car insured, you must hold a license when you drive, the vehicle should be authorised to be on the road as in must have a number plate/index plate of registration etc. Aircraft are similar in that they must be registered, the pilots must have their licences, medical certificates too if challenged by an authorised person in any country you fly to. All airlines must carry these documents including private corporate jets and other civil aircraft.

    Very cool! Private pilot here. I'm familiar with most of the A.R.O.W. documents that you're showing here. I hadn't hear about the operators certificate, but that makes sense. The noise certificate is interesting; that's one I'd not heard of. Googling, it looks like that's a thing for airplanes operating outside the US. I learned something today. Thanks for the video!

    Thanks, Skipper. In addition, it is a requirement to carry the cargo and passenger manifest, the journey logbook and the fumigation documents. During the covid pandemic, some states required the display of sanitisation certificates. I follow a vlogger who flew on an aircraft that had not undergone disinsection. Upon arrival in New Zealand, the authorities came onto the aircraft, closed the doors and sprayed the cabin to ensure that the aircraft and its passengers did not have any "duty free" flying companions travelling with them.

    Glad that you bring up documentation for aircraft. The Air Worthiness Cert, Radio Station Cert, etc are relatively "static" documents. They need to be renewed on a periodic basis but as long as they are within validity period, they don't usually cause problem. The difficult part are the many individual logs required (aircraft log, maintenance log, the individual engine logs, etc) because these are more dynamic. Can you talk about the requirements for these logs for a Hong Kong registered aircraft and how you guys update and keeps these logs up-to-date, etc.

    Hi Captain, may I ask a question about a discontinued approach of CX341 on Apr 30 at Hong Kong? The plane discontinued approach at roughly 1700ft near the FAP (VH702) of ILS 07L with tailwind, while the previous UAE380 and following CX100 both landed successfully. I wonder what could be the possible reason for discontinued approach at such altitude?Thank you!

    Could have been WINDSHEAR. An aircraft ahead may not get it while yours will with dynamic changing conditions

    Yes- it is included in the pouch together with the Air operator’s certificate

    Well the B747-8 is just coming on to 7 years old (young in aircraft terms). So it is around for at least another 15 years or so more

    Can airliner pilot fly any airliner in an emergency even if you have to have type rating I saw a video asking this question an I guess there was a private pilot on board of course this is fake senierio could he land the plane with instructions. I think he flew cessna.
