Boeing 747-8 flight preparation/Briefing/Data entry for Takeoff and initial climb

Hello everyone and how do you do?
In todays clip, I walk you through a typical preflight preparation as far as the pre-departure briefing, data entry and speed insertion into the FMS so we can safely liftoff and climb away. In a previous video, I showed you how we calculate the speeds based on airport conditions, aircraft weight etc.(watch the video to recap). So I have omitted that step but present the step where we now enter the calculated data.
The flight was from Anchorage in Alaska to Hong Kong (11 hours and 40 mins) with a takeoff weight of just over 382,000 KGS. Captions are in place to let you kno what we are doing and note how everything is cross checked again and again to verify data entry.
Hope it gives you some insight into some of the procedures.
The cameraman was my friend Myloss Besseling of JP.

Very cool! Very good reminder how you mentioned to cross check with whatever is set on the FMS set first, then, the “CTWO+”! chart, terrain, weather, operation, plus (or lower case T) for any threats? 😁😁 Thank you for sharing Captain!

Thanks, Skipper. I think that the duration of the briefing depends on several factors. Does the industry have/recommend a standard briefing time?

Hello Captain Obet, I am a big fan of your channel. My name is Wageh Gaber and I was hoping to be a pilot on a Boeing 747-8i, but unfortunately financial circumstances prevented me - but I own a PMDG 747-8i simulator and I made two flights using Data Link. I My job is as a driver in a private company in my country, Egypt. I want to present two ideas for two competitions, but I do not have them. Place to display it. - The first idea for the World Cup competition for the Best Pilot who flies 24 hours non-stop and performs all tasks without a First Officer. Unfortunately, I have few details of the competition. - the second idea for the World Cup competition for the Best Driver who drives alone for 24 hours without stopping. The details of the competition I will explain in detail if you would like. Thank you very much and sorry for my poor English
