For some reason, this is only found in jazz. When your in the zone and soloing, you get just as much pleasure seeing other people jam and have fun as you do yourself. Because Jazz is something that's meant for all people. It's the only music where you can break away and do your own thing. Which is why you always want to share with your fellow musicians.

I'd agree on your analyse... up to the word "brain". When listening to Joe Locke, it is not really the part of me that is most touched/appealed. And I think for this particular vid, less than the technical approach I'd give more importance to the human one, the emotion generated by both vibists. Eg. watch that vid with Red Norvo & Gary Burton playing on the same vibes... Another great moment in vibes' history. I'm not sure you'd feel that emotion... (my 2 cents!)
