    I grew up there as well. Before Harbor House. There used to be a lighthouse and restaurant on the north side of the inlet. I remember shrimping there as a little boy in the early 50's. The shrimp used to be huge ! At night, you could dip them up with net from the seawall.

    Have to test your limits to know them. He looks well prepared and a RIB has an insane amount of buoyancy for the size.

    Wes Carpenter the buoyancy of the sturdy rib is undisputed. However the ferocity of the ocean knows no bounds. Limits must be tested. But the consequences of that situation are dire. The motivation of yellow top is next level.

    What's the problem he's on a rib boat 😂 What the camera probably didn't see was the rear of the boat probably went completely under. The tubes popped him forward like a basketball under water and he realized quickly not to tempt mother nature. I'm glad it didn't become a disaster.Scary stuff great Content 👍

    I have been in some rough seas like this. Never done Haulover but in my opinion the experienced captains use speed to their advantage in these situations. The inexperienced don't and it can get them in trouble. I like watching your vids especially to see the different way the captain's use their boats.

    This is probably the most Hazardous & Dangerous Waterway I've seen yet, and these boaters Foolishly fail to use Life Jackets at least while going thru the inlet! Great video.

    That Azmuth 116 is a beauty. Thanks for including. Also what IDOIT decides to take a small RIB out in those sea conditions. I thaught he was a gonner at that last big wave.     There was once a tiny ship that was tossed in similar conditions that went out for a three hour tour. I heard that if wasn't for the courage of the fearless crew, the ship would have been lost. I wonder whatever happened to the hat tiny ship.

    I'm curious why the sportfisher/convertibles all come in with their outriggers out, since they need to be stowed for docking anyway. There aren't trolling at this point are they?

If that RIB would’ve flipped the Coast Guard would have easily found his giant balls out there floating around! Lol 😂

    With that small RHI.. It's not just the waves that he was at the mercy of, but the wind as well. High winds can flip that over in a heartbeat. Happened to two crewmembers I knew during a SAR case in the Coast Guard. They were in 58deg water for 10min.
