Seeing that young girl run the Boston Whaler is the best thing I will see today. That a skill and memories that will never be replaced. So awesome..and she did great!

Very nice. But, is she alowed? because, here in Angola, police is always looking for this kind of issues. If you dont have a permission you are in trouble.
Thank you so much for these videos. Me and my dad used to sit there and watch boats come through there for hours. When I was a kid. He's been gone 18 years and this makes me feel like he's right here. 🙏❤️

Here in Europe, it’s pretty common for children to be sea scouts. It’s a motorboat, not the hardest thing in the world. Also you’re all acting like this is her first time. The fact her parents are so relaxed is proof enough that she’s done this many times before.
Happy New Year to all: Terrific video guys with superb editing. IMHO the little girl 👧 piloting the BOSTON WHAILER, like a pro with her parents together ❤ in the bow is the best snap of the year. Excellent job guys, TMP from N.J.

Either let the swell run underneath you and then follow it in or keep ahead of the swell until it dissipates in side the inlet

Yea it was looking sketchy and then he started to pull in front of the wave like he was correcting the error, then he cut the throttles and answered the question we were all wondering about his level of experience.

Yup. Ride the back of the swell, never the front.
@grahambarton1942

Yep he’s riding in down the front of the wave(bad idea) and then throttles down so it catches him. Suddenly the wave is moving water forward as fast as his rudder is moving, so it stops working. So he loses control and swings side on to it. It could have rolled his boat over if the wave was bigger.
2:36 the little girl driving the boat! Adorable!
Finally! A inlet channel that records in my home state! Cheers

That Viking "Touch of Gray" was beautiful!! Wonderful videos!! I have never seen a blue hulled Gray "White" before!!
Watching those Vikings roll through ruling the chop no problem pretty impressive. I would scuba those inlets in winter months 40 years ago for kicks.
Loved this video! Waiting for Part II. We spent three weekends in Point Pleasant Beach late last summer and stood by the Manasquan inlet many times and admired all the boats coming and going.
That's the easy way to clear away the barnacles.😂😂🇨🇦
Seeing those boats in big seas reminded me of a cartoon I saw years ago in the 'Yachting Magazine'. A couple on the 'high side' of the cockpit on a sailboat with the wind howling, waves breaking, and spray flying. The wife is hanging on for dear life, when the husband yells to her..."honey, if you don't look like you're enjoying it, they may never ask us out again!"
Been through this inlet hundreds of times. Some days good , some days are less than not so good.
Dude at 13:10 came in perfect, stayed in the trough, nailed it!
Nice boat videos! I'm watching in 2022...
Best of luck in 2022!

I used to fish there…I remember a few years back a scallop boat had run into the wall on the side that the Coast Guard Station is on. Spent lots of time there.
Young lady in the Boston whaler knows her stuff👍🇺🇸
At 2:40 in this video we see one wise, smart, experienced skipper entering the inlet safely and smoothly with no pounding and bouncing by simply getting his boat speed down to the same speed the waves are moving at and he very safely and very smoothly is riding a wave in as a surfer does.

I have run this in a 40’ sailboat a couple of times. Once at night. It is one of the reasons I now own a cruising trawler capable of running from NY to Cape May in one shot. Haulover has nothing on Manasquan.

Agreed on the Haulover thing. They've got nothing on this inlet. (And we didn't have to listen to that broncos guru guy the whole time--a little goes a long way).

Totally agree. I grew up in Point Pleasant. For years my dad was lifeguard captain for Jenkinson's, right there at the Inlet. The big difference between here and Haulover is the obvious amount of caution shown by the captains, as well as a much more modest fleet. Manasquan Inlet is very, very unforgiving. My dad has told of numerous people that have drowned just falling off the jetty and not being able to climb back out before getting beaten up on the rock faces. Great quality video. Glad I found it, and can "go home" for just a little while.
@erichammond9308

Absolutely agree! Any inlet that is assigned a Motor Life Boat station makes Haulover look tame! There's a reason why you never see big SF yachts on those channels - they'd ruin their "rough inlet" claim! That big Bayliss would blow through Haulover without batting an eyelash.
What a great video! The first boat was Quad not Triple.
Why were a bunch of the speed boats holding a red flag? 🤔 I'm land locked in the prairies, and don't know these things.
3:48 that's hurricane weather right there!! They're lucky they made it back before the storm!! 😬 I was on a jet ski with a friend in this type of weather going home to moon river, Savannah, Burnside Island. The sky opened up and the rain felt like glass shards! We were stupid kids, and this was WAY before cell phones with weather and internet so we had a 45 minute trip in that... we got lucky. I'll never forget the color of that sky, though!!
