Lovely tour and and a stunningly beautiful home. I imagined coffee in the morning on that deck, sunning in the afternoon on that deck, and drinking a glass of wine in the evening on that deck and realized I could just live on that deck. Priceless memories I'm sure of time spent there growing up. I think you need a tree or bush with a different texture and darker foliage than the fronting hydrangeas. Maybe a black lace elderberry or a Japanese Lace maple? Cheers

A purple smoke bush would be a nice pop of color amongst all the green. I enjoy all the beautiful things you show us, but I'd love it if you show us maintenance (not always the most fun) as well. Inevitably, we all have to do it.

Thank you so much for this tour. I remember hoping you'd be back while watching the first video. Grandmas' garden must be why you became a landscaper, growing up in that garden had to of been magical, it's just so incredible Wonderful. I think if there's enough sun in that empty spot, a pink Buddleia would be lovely against the grey shingles

Wow! I'm so glad you returned to show us your grandmother's lake house in the summer when everything has filled in. It is stunning! I hope to walk by when Proven Winners renews its Grand Garden Show in 2021. Would love to meet your grandma in the next video. I think a limelight hydrangea or quick fire hydrangea would do well next to the house when you clean out that tree in the front. Either one would lighten up that area and the blooms would be a nice contrast against the house.

What an incredibly special heritage you have! Thank you for sharing! Found your videos a few days ago & just keep watching as it's such a special place to me. I grew up in Michigan, visiting Mackinac Island, & always admired your grandmother's home with the beautiful cedar shake siding (right next to library I think)! So special to get to see the front of this beautiful house! Years ago I also worked at Mission Point Resort in Convention Services. When I come home from Colorado in the summer we visit & stay on the island. Fun now to know who makes these beautiful gardens a reality! All the best in the 2021 season!

Wonderful to see a seasonal update on your granny's cottage! Seems like an absolute privilege to get to pass down the legacy of working on a loved one's private garden space. I agree with the idea that a red or purple foliage would pop there. I also think ferny textured leaves with dark stems would look good, or possibly an old fashioned climbing rose that could tolerate shade. Thanks for the peek into Granny's beautiful space!
