I have the 2021 S1000R sports. Had it de cat, retained OEM silencer and dyno tuned. Increase in torque from 72.31 to 79.8 and it is such a more refined and exciting bike now. Much better to ride all day than the RR.

No doubt much more comfortable than the RR. I’m pretty sure if I were to ride yours I’d put that above the RR. As a first ride on this range though, the RR was so impressive 👍👍👍

I just ordered one and it should arrive next week. Typical guy thing to do I’m already planning my mods. The decat and stock box is exactly what I’m looking to do. The sounds I’ve heard with that combination is 10x better than any slip on or full setup than I’ve heard to date.

Great review. The S1000rr has shift cam engine technology and I don't think the R does. The shift cam will make the engine more flexible which could account for the difference in roll on and general performance.

I have both bikes R and RR Difference between having the shift cam and don’t is the RR pick up very aggressive after 9 rbm while below that dose not give great pickup while R without shift cam it pick up directly tell rbm 9 then RR vanish from the sight huge gap between both bikes that dose not mean bad or good both bikes best bikes in its type no challenge not Ducati no aprilia BMW best what you can have

Major complaint is simply lack of wind protection I know it is a "naked" but what is that really but a pricepoint designation? They could easily have engineered to accept an optional fram mount fairing which I believe the ONLY reason they dont is toscrew the consumer into feeling obliged to spend much more an RR...Personally I dont want the hyper power of the RR ...I want everything THIS naked has just with a fairing damn it! Just make a TALLER fairing for relaxed ergos and preserve the RR looks on an R come on BMW! (and everyone else for that matter they all do the same crap)

Hi mate , I got 2022 and it’s comfortable as my previous Suzuki GSX S750. Had easy 200miles ride with no problems. Bike is light and nimble, very comfortable. I’m 5’10” ( 178cm). It’s a great one of the best naked bikes

how come this bike has brembo brakes, and my one - bmw?? despite it has dynamic package, riding modes pro, ddc

In my opinion the BMW badged calipers (made by Hayes in America) are better than the Brembos. Much more initial braking force whereas the Brembos feel less powerful to start with, gradually getting stronger.

Have to be the RR if I was to have one looks awesome bike 🏍 👍

I have the 2022 S1000RR M SPORT loving it. Made the mad jump from my other bike a 1990 ZXR750H2, which I've been a proud owner for the past 27 years .The BMW is insane going from 105bhp at the crank to 205bhp was scary, but the aids have been a blessing helping massively with the transition to massive power upgrade. Just can't stop riding the dam thing. To help with rider comfort I've fitted Grip Puppies they have really improved comfort for my hands and wrist increasing the diameter aswell and fitting a thicker seat ebay £90 no more numb arse trust well worth it. Great video, new sub bell ticked 😉 ride safe, bud 😊

Not limited to BMW though. Other manufacturers do the same thing. Happy to report that my GS is keyless filler cap too! 👍🤩

Very interesting bike to be review. It's a little bit of a shame that the shaky video and crappy sound didn't allow to fully enjoy it. Also, too many camera view changes: 3 seconds- and another angle. Maybe it's just me... Thanks anyway.

@@motomogulYou are putting yourself out in the internet…grow up, criticism comes with the territory. If you can’t stand the heat… I found your knowledge poor on the product too. Quoting it is S1000R when it’s the Sport version, and saying engine was same as S1000RR. Do your research first.

Makes me cry seeing how you punish the engine at slow speed and 6th gear. Hotspots forming on cylinders, engine crying...

@@motomogul :D hope I won't abuse it too much by mistake :D It is only my second bike in my life :D Drove my SV650s for 10 years before I started feeling I want more, but this bike... it is gonna be twice the SV in every aspect :D cc, kw, torque, tech :D on a completely different league. I also test drove RR but figured it is a bit too much sacrifice from me :D Woul love it but not drive it as much as this one :D
