Interesting result. I expected a near tie from the all season and the truck tire (the truck tire is a highway tread truck tire, basically the same as all-season). An AT truck tire (if you could find one in that size) would probably be best. I didn’t expect the snow tire to do well since snow and dirt traction requirements are way different. Not surprised to see it got shredded though, since snow tires are designed for use on low friction surfaces, not sand paper lol.

Yellow dot at the VS doesn't mean a perfect balance. For quickly mounting and balancing, it doesn't matter. They all get put on a balancer anyway.
I think that the truck tire in the case of a daily driver/weekend rally owner is going to ultimately offer the best experience. It's unlikely to be the fastest tire due to weight of the construction but you are less likely to end your weekend early because you blew a tire and need to try and get a replacement in time to go to work on Monday.
Tires are the most underrated mod 👍🏼

I have the yoko’s on my 10th gen civic and I love them. They even work on icy Missouri roads.
Combine two or three dirt bike tires that's definitely a good idea.
Y'all should host a rallycross event at your "track"
You should have mentioned the air pressures in the tires, which can make a huge difference! Good episode i liked the music!
I love your show!!!! please don't ever stop it I swear it makes my day
Those viking contact 7 tires kick ass on the ice and snow. I went last winter with those in my awd golf. In finland.
I foresee a hydraulic e brake coming, I also wonder if starting in second gear instead of first would help, especially with the rear end being low geared
Great video as always and seeing the difference in each tire will be greatly beneficial to the direction of the rest of the series. Totally unrelated questions though about things that happened to catch my attention in the video. 1.) Are you just going to install a roll cage and not give us an entire episode on that??? 2.) The red Tacoma that delivered the tires, could that be a contender for hi low season 2? If so, I'm so ready for it!
You definetely need to install a hydro e-brake in this car.
I love how you can see the dust fly out from where the shifter is 🤣
ZJ & Donut, thank you so much for doing this.
Please never stop this MoneyPit series! Love it
A tread depth measurement would have been nice to compare the amount of tread lost between the tires. The snow tires seem softer which would look more beat up even if it lost the same amount of tread as a harder tire. Also throwing in a 200 tw tire (typical autox tire) would have been interesting to see if it survived and how it compared time wise.
Do e brake and exhaust/headers next. We need that beamer sounding like a rally car.
I'm so thankful you guys go through with testing three types of tyres for this kind of off road setup... Saves a lot of people a lot of money and time researching. Anyone in a Subaru, Rally car or even sporty crossover (like my Hyundai Kona) AWD or RWD, it looks like the truck tyres fare best (as I anticipated). Difference in lap times are negligable, its wear and tear that is most important, and seeing that the truck tyres help up the best in wear and came pretty close to being quickest, it seems like a no brainer. Glad my intuition togo with something like the Pirelli Scorpions was a good op (well, when I can afford them :P).
I love the Acsend gt. They are awesome tires for normal usage (or slightly aggressive). They have awesome grip on wet roads.
17:44 That is a nice shot. nice work from the drone pilot
1:50 that Tacoma was beautiful, it was in dang mint condition

they hinted they were going to use Tacomas for the next HiLow... that might be one of them
Always the best tire is the one that has the most contact with the ground. Go wide then take some air out to go wider with a good alignment. 👍all season ftw
I love money pit. Such a great series.
Best part of this entire episode was the Zach golf ball transition.
I'm waiting for this uhggg!! hope to have more video of this every week
This was a perfectly crafted video with such a great grading scale
16:07 sounds like somebody needs a new eBrake handle next episode maybe

@@acethepanther2153 well ok but if you don’t want to wait for a video that may or may not come out, Chrisfix did a video on installing an e-brake These guys skipped over the roll cage and sparco seats maybe they’ll skip over the e-brake
i dont think there are any episoded for roll cage, seats or steering wheel. Also some sand is entering inside the cabin from the manul transmisson shifter, u may need to feel that gap
What song is that in the background of the laps, it is pretty chill and I like the rally callouts in it. Edit: They are not rally callouts and are arrival times as pointed out by @cmtlr FYI: Found the song. Deep Into London by Bastien Slice.

I fucking love the way donut does ads. So easy to skip that shit and they still get their money :D
Good as usual. But all the camera work and drone footage is done very well! Cool!!!
Video idea: what type of shifter for automatic is best, you could do ratchet, column, floor shifter, and many others that hook up to automatic
The team during editing: "Why did we swap wheels for each test, and not do all the test with one set..."
@saltybutsain6348

It’s faster to swap the whole wheel than just the tire, and the tires were different sizes, they wouldn’t all fit on the one set of wheels.

Yeah, like Salty But Sain is saying, it's a whole order of magnitude harder. Instead of a quick unbolt the old tires bolt on the new tires, it requires mounting and balancing the new tires which definitely has to be performed in a shop.
