I have a naturally aspirated lexus GS 430 v8 with the aftermarket silencer and it sounds much better than the mercedes AMG E 63 S, the turbos spoil the sound a lot, while the old amg are much much better they have a specific sound

That old merc is just a piece of art

Those older V8 engines are some of the best V8s ever created. The aggressive rough sound of the 6.2-L V8 in the older C63 just sounds so good, it's like a freaking muscle car engine, and that 4.0-L V8 in the older E90 M3, we all know sounds amazing with its 8200 RPM redline, making that engine scream loud as heck.

That old amg is a beast And sound is just amazing

Michael McDonald the M156 in the C63 is actually detuned to 450 HP, in the E63 the M156 had 525HP

Watched this video so many times to convince myself to by a c63 w204 and I finally did it with no regrats lmao 🤣 best decision ever!!

I watched this video a year ago, and just bought a w204 c63 coupe this past week. After getting it home, I sat down and stared at it for half an hour before crying. Truly an epic car, sounds fantastic, its extremely planted and the steering reminds me of the e36 m3 I had in terms of feedback. If you want one of these, go buy one because they won't get any cheaper and are incredible value for the money.

Im not saying you can't fuck up the start but believe me when I tell you my sister can do a consistent 1/4 mile time in this car. @@BlitzkriegRap traction control must be turned off to get the best launch and time otherwise the computer will reduce the power coming to the tyres to gain traction. so you do need skill to launch a RWD car without it wheelspinning all over the place

E55 and the C63 were killers to all cars since 2003 love to see that AMG has been making beasts from the start!!

Approximately 50 bhp between old and new C63/C63S but a pretty big difference in weight - amazingly the old one with a 6.2 engine weighing in 165 kg less (or 363 LB) no wonder it did so well and SOUNDED EPIC !

That w204 is a masterpiece.. great V8 , glorious exhaust and in my opinion better looking than the new one..

W204 last year was 2015 not 2013. Pre facelift 2008-2011 can be found cheap but if they didn't have their headbolt issue fixed that's alot of money still needed to be spent.

@@isiahmeti4817 2.0? you sure? this is madness. i dont care if it has 500 horses under the hood, there is no substitute for bigger volumetric displacement of engine. i wont diss 2.0 and 2.5 engines(after all, audi and vw were damn tuneable- up to 1000 horses), but for long lasting engine, there is no replacement to high displacement engines. sad future we're strolling into :(

Well to be honest the alert did say "drive modestly". When your pads are worn out you shouldn't do brake testing, doesn't mean that you wont be able to break in an emergency (unless your pads are completely gone, in which case nothing can help you).

I have a 2013 p31. It's not a sleeper. Flared fenders, massive brakes, insane sounds.... nothing sleepy about it.

@carwow Matt you say it's a RCF Track Edition. A RCF Track Editio has a carbon fiber bonnet and a large rear spoiler. Wouldn't have made a massive difference but would have done better. I mean the 0-60 times are about 0.4 difference between the 2 so I am sure the quarter mile would have been a bit better too.

I have a W204, but it's a simple C300. No exhaust note, and with a detuned C50 engine... Even with just about 250/250 hp/ftlb, it is a lot of fun to throw around. They are pretty reliable and I expensive these days. Plus, that body style is it for me. I highly recommend a W204!

Would love to see a drag race of performance family estates/sport backs on a budget e.g Merc C63 Estate w204, Merc CLS AMG shooting brake, Audi S7 Mark 1, Audi S6 avant 2012 up, VW Golf R 7, BMW 335d touring 2013 on and may as well throw in a kia stinger gts for variety😉

I can’t believe the old w204 has a flat tappet cam setup lol not even a roller motor. One of the best sounding engines ever made.

The W204 C63 and the RCF sound fantastic! Both V8s, but sound very different.

Old is Gold, that 6.2L C63 is a thing of beauty! Good race!

The old C63 is an engineering master piece hopefully I can get my hands on one before it's to late.

I'm an M4 guy all day and the competition would have have these cars for breakfast...but that W204 merc is a straight BEAST! Best ever C63 IMO by pure sound alone.

Hearing again the glorious sounds of the old c63 and m3 makes me sad. The new models might be better but they will never sound the same..

Lexus does sound good.. from the cabin, because of the nice fake sound coming from the speakers. C63 and m3 just roaring while others from the lot whispering.

xellossaxon how is it crippled when it has 510 hp and more torque. It’s just crap, 4 litre twin turbo overweight garbage. Here in Australia you can get 2nd hand c63s for 100k( almost half the price,2017 model). The car selling websites are flooded with them cars because they are thirsty on fuel, underperforming and with heaps of issues.

I absolutely love my W204 C63. It is my daily driver and with CarPlay retrofitted it is everything you could want in a car. The engine and the sound is so special it makes £1.70 a litre seem cheap to experience such brilliance.

I'm all smiles that the old C63 was performing so good. I knew my dream car is still valid even over a decade later. LONG LIVE 63❤️

I love how everyone voted the old c63 for best exhaust. No contest😂 (edit) most likes I've gotten😂

The W204 is a beast. Take into consideration that there are version with 510hp which will make it pretty though for the other contestants

I watch this video again and again just to listen and admire the old C63 AMG 😍😍😍😍

The problem with the RC-F is that it's just far too heavy. The platform it uses was supposed to accommodate a coup and convertible but the convertible was never made. Weight's an issue for the LC500 as well as it uses the same platform.

It’s about torque plain and simple. The RCF only has 389 lb.ft of torque. The M4 is near 440.

it still breaks the same but you are supposed to be more carefull with it until you reach the next mechanic also these sensors react way bevor the brakes actually come close to be thinn, like they still have 25% material left

I owned the FIRST C63 W204 in the state of FL. Hsd it for three years and regret selling it. It was tuned with Kleeman and just with thst it made 550 HP. It was a monster of a car
