@@peterhammer6915 they go back and fourth.. when this line of AMG came out it was faster. To be honest when bimmer came out with the M5 the E63 was faster then when they came out with the competition the competition was just a little faster but not by much because I've watched videos where it depends who launches first will win. So the comp and the E63S are pretty much dead even. The difference is now that bimmer came out with the CS version that thing is a beast and it is the fastest version now.. but let's see what happens when AMG drops their latest version of the GT 4door coupe. That thing is going to be mental. Then we have to wait for the new C63s to go against bimmers new M3 that just came out a couple months ago. So to say their not faster in a straight line anymore is kind of irrelevant because this line of AMG has been out for a while and bimmer is now dropping some new M's.. so let's see what happens when AMG drops their new line of cars😎.... cheers!!!!!!

Considering the c63 had a naturally asiprated engine and it was decently older than the other cars it competed very well. Cant imagine what it wouldve done if it had twin turbos. Still an amazing car non the less

C63 Black Series is a legend, so much stance, aggression and presence. Amazing how powerful this engine is after so long, keeping up well. Mercedes should look back to this and rethink their current cars. This car made me a Mercedes Fanboy like crazy.

@@neomalcom6464 I see where you’re coming from. It’s difficult to accept change when you’re so used to something you love so much. I still think an A45S still has something a E63 doesn’t have and vice versa. But fair enough, everyone has their own opinion, I just hope you don’t think this way so as to fit in with older enthusiasts/established motoring journalists, who all share these thoughts, ie. Pro old cars and say new stuff is boring. I honestly think that is the case with a lot of these viewers.

I would love to see a drag race of all the C class Merc’s in one video so in other words from the w201- present chassis model. That would be a great video to see how much the C class Merc has improved over the years.

BMW been turning their performance department up to 11! Impressive.

They also lie about power figures, 510hp, more like 570….if it was a genuine 510hp it probably won’t do as well.

This C63 is one of the best AMG vehicles of all time~~ That 6.2-L V8 was a gem in that car. For how old this car is, the performance is insane.

That C63 though. What an engine that was, with the most beautiful sound. Having driven one, my abiding memory is how it can be two engines - one is quiet and restrained and it runs so silently, if you just want go cruise. But then, if you put your foot down, that roaring thunder - what a fantastic sound.

I just sold my s204 c63. Besides the sound and performance it was a shitty car realy, so many issues and imo a harsh ride and altho an e92 m3 is way slower it just drives so much better, the c63 just felt so fragile to me. If anyone ever wants to buy one of these it should be a 507 or at least a pp model. Anyway the real reason I sold it for was the consumption, it's like there was a hole in the tank and my wallet, did not even 300km on a full tank costing 110euro's, thats just bonkers and not worth it.

Finally. We waited all Saturday and was wondering what had happened...lol. Better late than never though

It sound sexactly the same at every RPM it's far from the best sounding. Most other V8s sound better actually. F type, mustang, other american V8s, ferrari from that period, even the e92 M3.

@@Khan-ts2ji well not really... The Audi A4, Benz C Class and BMW 3 Series are the same Class of car. The M2 is more like Audi A3 and maybe Benz A Class (the problem is that Benz doesnt make those small Sportcoupes so I think the AMG A45s is the best choise) The bigger problem here is that the BMW is a complete new Model with the latest engine... Still they chose the RWD instead of the AWD so its not utterly unfair

@@skillandluck M3 comp gapped the C63 pretty bad in the roll race lol. But yeah c63 was quicker than the RS 5 in the roll. The RS 5 was the slowest car here

Love the sound of the C63, Audi simply has not enough power, as they have done with all recent RS models. BMW did a good job with getting the power to the tarmac.

Great race. Loved it the merc was exemplary in keeping up with the others. Aside from that a friend and i were urguing over whats faster. A bike 1000cc or a golf GTI tuned. Id love to prove him wrong. Kindly set it up and you can add a tuned pickup truck if any is available. Thanks

Weistec do a supercharger kit for it for about $15k you can get it to about 800hp without losing sound quality

That c63 is a beautiful machine.

All motor engine vs twin turbos. I have the c63 the traction control has a big lagg. Once it sense a slip it restarts the rpm’s from the bottom and returns gradually. The transmission doesnt have the best shifts at all. But for it’s time it was a beast. The engine is super powerful and a torque monster. Half throttle will spin tires and if I’m going 40-50 mph and give it full throttle , it’ll still spin tires. Overall is a monster of a car.

There are sports saloons, and there's an M3. And then there's a sports saloon with a nuclear bomb for an engine. Mad, mad, mad.

My god, that C63 black series is so fkn epic. By far the sickest of the 3.

Well... Sadly mercedes is killing of the m178 v8.. For starters new c63 is a vaccum 4 banger with a hybrid motor. I guess dodge will try their best to keep the hemi engines as long as possible. The new electric dodge is also coming which is kind of dodgy move from dodge but oh well...

It's just a new car, nothing special and audi/vw is getting worse with their bigger cars(above golf and A/S/RS-3). Porsche is way better than bmw with the same amount of power, weight, amount of gears etc....

I have had the G80 m3 for about 7 months now. This video makes me love my purchase even more because I was picking between these 3 cars, except the new C63 model! If you’re thinking about and m3 strictly for performance then it is the one! Despite the grill…..

I mean, regardless of the results, I think we all knew who the star of this show would be. The BMW is awesome and I love Audi, but that C63 is just gorgeous. 😘👌

"Slow" or not: That Merc is the star of the show and it's not even close. If it were me with unlimited funds, I'd probably go back even further in the timeline and get the OG CLK 63 Black Series.

Yup, the internet loves numbers, apparently Teslas are the best cars ever made purely because of that (they're great, but 0-60 in 2 seconds...who cares). In the real world if these 3 cars are parked together, only one of them gets a crowd ☺ Out of these 3 the Merc is my favourite by far, although if/when someone does a decent aftermarket front end the M3 is the one I might actually buy. That's mostly just because I can actually afford to daily drive one though (once they depreciate a little), a Black Series is well out of my budget! Edit: I had to Google quickly, Prior Design have got the M3 looking awesome.

@@ApothecaryTerry I literally don’t are for numbers, in the last 4-5 years numbers have just become silly, for me it’s styling, and character that matters, and that is where the Merc wins all day, it definitely has character, I’m slightly biased as I own a straight pipes CLK500 😂
