Here's one that applies to anyone with an automatic! I had a E90 years ago that was stuck in park in my driveway i had to get it in N but it had no power. If you lift the plastic panel around the automatic shifter, there is a key hole. if you insert the key from your FOB, you can unlock your shifter to get the car into neutral. Grat Vid!

Great tip I discovered that you can pull the panel off around your sunroof controls and there's a like an Allen ranch and that can crank it close. Manually if you have no power and it starts raining.

Thank you so much for this video - it's snowing here today and our window stuck 1/2 down. Thanks to you we were able to get the danged thing back up before the car filled with snow!

Being able to wind the windows up and down using the blade key was new to me, as was the keyless running. Thanks for spreading the joy about these cars we love

Nice vid, always used the windows up trick in my e90 especially in this summer days where I keep my car open to let the air cycling through. Then I just take them up before night kicks in. Cheers

​@@urziceanu6645 There are 2 timers that you can set in the eye drive menu.. You can also set it to ventilate your car twice a day in the summer.

So I managed to enable the retain for start-stop function with bimmercode (I like the start-stop disabled). Is there a way to start the car always in sport mode? I have to manually put it in sport mode every time I start the car and it is annoying... Thanks!

Question...I am in the USA, on my second E60 M5. First on, in the settings had like yours daytime running lights. The one I have now [both 2006's] does not have the daytime running light option in the I drive settings. BMW North America said it should, said they all did. I am wondering if maybe someone before me did something, like alter the programming. I see no purpose for those inside lights in the headlights other than when I flash the brights, those flash….thoughts?

If your car is equipped with comfort access, you can roll the windows up and close the sunroof by tapping the keyhole on the driver door, then hold it down until everything is shut. You need to have the fob with you of course.

I had the 59 plate BMW 520d M Sport Business Edition and you could fold the mirrors by holding the lock key. Also the mirror closest to the curb moved down when parallel parking.

The mirror moves down if the toggle switch for the electric mirror adjuster is moved to the left. Has nothing to do with the Fob

Hey!! I've just replaced 07 e90 with 10 plate e90.. My old one all windows opened with fob the new one only rear go down with fob.. Is there anyway I can fix this at home?

Had no idea about the trick with removing the key and being able to start it again 👍 The windows trick i believe was available since the E3... series

Do u ever have an issue with repeated check engine light on... iv got a bmw reader that says what's wrong but after I erase it it comes back few weeks later. And when it's on iv noticed that it kinda jerks when I push the gas forward. Just wondering if you had that issue at all.

You can also do alooot more than possibly imaginable with Bimmercode and Bimmerlink. I've tweaked so many settings with em on my 330e.

I have a question, my x5 keyfob stopped working and I was using the key in the door, it was working fine when I went into the store, but wouldn't work when I came back out. And the switch in the center isn't working either. Is it the door or the switch that could be the problem?

Fun fact: atleast for my 2005 e60 545i when you use either key the saved radio stations are different on each key.

On the US model you can use the key in the door and lock the door and hold it will roll up windows. It opens and closes the sunroof also.

That's funny. I never put my keys in the ignition. When I put my hand in front of the door handle, it locks or unlocks and when you push the button it starts with the key in my pocket. Was I supposed to be putting the fob in the ignition sometimes? Lol Cheers! I'm in America.

With the keyless running enabled certain things inside the car may not be powered on, such as the cigarette lighter plug, so for example if you have a dash cam powered off the cigarette lighter this then may not be recording if you ever drive the car in this mode.

What do you recommend for key in ignition error car won’t start?

I have a 318i 2003 auto with a older keyfob the car won't unlock every now and again. I have plugged in deep obd and read fault codes it says central locking relay not present. Would this be down to keyfob battery or relay? Thanks

Wow! Thank you for this video! I am in South Africa, and just got me this old 2011 E90 323i yesterday, it works for me. Reason for getting onto your channel; my radio (Professional) is "on"...when key in I see the time/ date. However, when powering on the radio, by pressing and holding the top left button, nothing is hapening. Pressing Audio, on top of Power button, nothing g happens, but when I press the Menu button I get the "phone, Comp, Config, BMW and Parked" options menu. I can pair phones, see all info data etc. But just cannot get radio (FM/ AM) to play...I just purchased an aux cable and music plays from phone (Spotify), I can see timer move, but no sound or any display on radio. Update on this > Will try CD option later...CD also not playing, can hear it spinning though. Any idea please?

One Question to the key, i‘ve had a fiew Months ago in the idrive while driving an Key Error, it says the Key / Remote control is not found or something like that, i think you know this fault. (Yellow Key with strikethroug) There also stands, don‘t turn off the engine, cause it may don‘t go on again. I did exactly that, not 3-4 Months later, same think again, i‘ve stopped the car, turned it off and on, and now 1 drove 1 week, the error didn‘t come again. Do you know why this sometimes happens? Maybe my Key Batterie is not so healthy or what do you think? The last time this happend was after a Person was foiling all my Windows, for that he washed with a lot of water the windows in the back, also from inside, maybe water hitted diversity from inside, but it wasn‘t much water? But is i said, after turning the car on and off, the fault was away, and the the last and first time it came was 3 moths ago, after 1/2 an Hour of driving. Ista said no faults🙄 What do you think what it is. I have an e61 lci, all lights etc are working in the tailgate so i think i have not a broken cable in there. Have the same Key like you, but no Keyless go :)

Depending what model you have. It does alot more then just the windows and locks. I have a x5 in canada. It can open or close the windows. The seats move the sunroof opens all depends what I have it set up as.

If your key fob battery is low, you can hold the FOB against the start button and see if it will start. It definitely works on my 2015 Subaru WRX. Cheers!

BMW Doctor I have a question. I have a 2010 bmw 323i few months back I had a ruff idle said #3 coil bad replaced it and while I was there I replaced the spark plugs. 2 weeks later check engine light comes on engine running ruff again, this time says #4 coil. Replaced it, still had the ruff idle. So I replaced the fuel injector, still ruff idle, we switched coil #1 knowing it’s a good coil to coil #4 and coil#4 to coil #1 no difference. I have all kinds of power on the highway you wouldn’t even know I had a misfire. It’s when the car is in park you can feel the idle ruff and driving at low speed. It keeps telling us it’s coil #4. I’m lost at what to do. Could the crank sensor run it ruff?
