Dean, I just want to say I been watching you since you started this channel and you deserve it all! you worked very hard and to now be recognised by ‘BMW’ themselves puts a massive smile on my face as a lot of the folks on here and the groups on FB didn’t want to see that happen. I said to my wife when you started, I knew you would exceed the expectations on KZread when I saw you growing for bmw as you had a lot of doubters to say the least but you pushed through it all and here you are 3 years later😉 I got rid of my bmw last year and all I will say is ( Never Again ) I bought a Audi A7 and I been happy ever since I wouldn’t even look back. Hi I m Michele from Italy. I think you re great 😊 If possible I would like to ask you a question, I have a problem with my BMW E46 320D 110KW M47TU ENGINE. The engine goes off some times for less than a second Then some times the engine would not start at first time. I have an error n 4A63 EWS MANIPULATION. Before the problem I ve changed the crankshaft position sensor with a NGK ( I replaced the starting motor), could It be the reason of the problem? Thank s very much

Sir im your new follower and subscriber. I have a question. I have my bmw 2008 323i and and its a rough idle and there is a misfire but the misfire will not stay in one cylinder next day different cylinder every time different cylinder is the misfire. When I start the car sometime die sometimes not. I change already all ignition and spark plug and fuel injector is good. It is possible the vacum leak and also burning oil. Can you give me advise how to do this. Thank you.

Can you recommended some good bmw shops. I’ve already spent over 4k tryna sort out this idle issue and car now starts and stop have to keep my throttle on. DME codes issues

You got it in one Wayne… as I said my growth now has led me to greater and better things and put me in a position better and far greater then most for that I’m grateful like I say KZread has become just purely a way to stay in reach with my audience now I’m quite fortunate I can choose if I want to post or not and when I do its genuinely because I have wanted too not because I needed too like a lot of people do. You probably realised that my channel has changed a lot in the last 2 years where as before I would be posting all the time but now things have picked up well for me and the Porsche workshop has been a success major success and then my recovery buisness has succeeded aswell I think that’s because I’m having a lot of people who can’t drive the Porsches to me so I’m having to recover them which is helping the buisness boom as when we got the car they are wanting to take the job with us aswell so it’s a win win but in all honesty I can’t do both I can’t do KZread and that it’s impossible but obviously I will post when I can and only when i feel it’s something relevant but apart from that I’m very relaxed now too relaxed

That’s it that shows I’m a true petrol head as I love all cars I mean I own a Alfa Romeo aswell so I ain’t biased towards any brand really just certain engines fact I mean I got a Mercedes sprinter recovery truck and Ford transit so I can’t be biased but then they are business vehicles

interesting.. i wouldnt care for new cars neither.. Too complicated and loads of electric gremlins, haha. Though I would love to see overhaul of N52 engines . Teardown and rebuild, for example though there are many videos of it in KZread. You do whatever you want and earn £££ :)

I don’t think it was just about new cars in general I think it was about the brand as a whole to reshape it and anything I can help them with on the going forward will be rolled out to all.

@@BMWDoctor the design shifted forward as well.. it seems BMW aims for people with taste for "design" rather than pure ultimate driving machine. Honestly there is nothing I want for a car. Not even close anything to M3 CSL E46.

They wanted to control your narrative, most likely. Many times, you are rightly critical of BMW. I assume that had you been under contract, they would have asserted rights to approve your statements. I'm glad you are able to retain your independence, but I will miss your insights into my old M6 S85 e64. Enjoy your freedom!

Hi where's your shop

Obviously follow your passion and if BMW isn’t that then fair enough. But… what I am struggling with is you pitch this all in a way that BMW are asking you personally to save their brand and restore your own passion too… and yet from the time I’ve watched your channel I don’t think you have ever purchased a car from them, in fact from what I’ve seen any cash that’s gone from your pocket and into BMWs is for replacement parts for for previous gen models. If I’d just gone out and bought a brand new BMW this does not seem like the channel to watch, probably more if I’d gone out and bought a 66 plate 5 series off Facebook something. In other words, your channel is awesome but I don’t think it has any influence at all in anyone going out and buying a brand new or even approved used car from the brand. More for fixing some issue on the one you picked up off auto trader which doesn’t directly benefit BMW at all. Not really a criticism this btw, I’d have just expected if BMW were going to directly ask you anything it would be around security and locking down coding options they could instead charge you for themselves… rather then to try and rescue your passion in the brand and help them figure out the stuff their multi billion Euro R&D department and countless focus groups can’t figure out.

It’s true and I get everything you have said. Truth is after I refused the position with them they tried to ask me if I would take other roles with them as mostly they wanted me for the tech side and I refused all roles within the buisness of them. If I’m honest they kept emailing me asking me to rethink my decision and if anything could change my mind as they really wanted me and as they said it ain’t easy finding someone who knows the inside of the bmw system so well and obviously they know they have flaws themseleves hence why they was looking for people like myself to revive the brand. But in all honesty they did want me for the coding side and to make the applications work we never touched on security of bmw but I’m sure that would of come up if given the chance and I had gone ahead with it all

Firstly, BMW don't listen to anyone but BMW. How many years people complain about same issues like plastic parts that crack easily, timing chains etc. They just want people to help them come up with stuff so they can charge you extra in stupid packages that should be standard as in other cars like lane departure, heated steering etc. Frigging joke

Yep like they wanted to introduce the new limited speed by default where you have to pay a subscription to be able to have your car limit removed which means all cars with be limited to 100mph and if you want the extra speed you must pay and M cars would all be limited on the redline those are the new things they intend to bring hence why I don’t want involvement in that kind of crap and control. They want to make owners pay and also make owners take the blame if something goes wrong
