Really good video. Was trying for ages then saw your ISTA method which mentions charge the battery. My low battery light kept showing on dash. Charged battery put all windows down worked 1st time. Thanks

Thanks. This is super helpful. I have a 2010 E60 and I had to use service function in ISTA to reset the rear windows. ISTA approach is very easy, and it works right the first time.

Thank you! This is a Big help to us E9X folks! My windows were worked on and done by the owner before me. However I'm not sure if it was all of them or just the rears. I'm wondering if the new mechanisms (Or whatever they're called lol) are changed to correct the problem of the originals? I suspect they won't be as BMW seems to have a long history of just doing the very least of corrections on things that have failed if they aren't made public or caused a hassle for them. Not sure how they floundered so very much with the HPFP, cooling problems (E46 and the E9X water pump) Vanos and the injectors seeing that they even did somewhat of a recall on some of them. We won't mention the massive failures of the Subframe tearing the chassis out of the E36 E46 etc. Shhh. Even if it cost me $3200 to get the E46 M3 done.

Finally ! I've been trying all day, 5 second hold down, then 15, all of them didn't work, tried it with all windows down first and boom ! Worked first time. Thanks

I wish i could have remember they were called vapour barriers during the filming of this video..... lol

I can't believe how cheap plastic they are. I had to do my rear right just the other week. Keep up the good vids. 👍. I forgot to add. I held the glass up and used making tape over the top to make it easier to get the regulator back in. Might help someone...

my wife's wagon just broke the clip but the reg was going out and I just bought a replacement on Amazon. hopefully I can get it fixed this weekend

I ordered the window regulators but my motor doesn’t seem to fit right with the new one? I have a 2008 e90 320d

Got a 06 325i I just replaced the regulator. It will not let me reset the anto trap function. Followed manual and still it will only open 1/4 at a time. Any suggestions ?

Awesome to know! Do you know how to recalibrate the sunroof on a e39? Mine has started hitting the wind diffuser and for me to close it I have to hold the diffuser down out of the way, not sure if something is worn but it just started happening out of the blue

Ohhhhhhhh, i think you can manually adjust them and also find the limits for the motor. I will check with Dave i know he did some sunroof adjustments on his 39 M5.

You made that look real easy! I'm sure there would be a lot of swearing, dropping things and getting pissed off if it were me 😂 Why did the previous owner try a cheap fix? Are the parts expensive?

@@ZeroTo60Tube I’m not sure why but I was able to fix it by closing the latch and opening it while the the door is still open, also the lock was going back in the door panel where it would be really stiff so I straighten the metal so it would go in fine. (I have taken this rear driver side door off multiple times, that it could of bent the rod for the lock.)

What up brother. You should probably make it a point to say "plastic pry bar". Alot of idiots might use a construction flat bar 🤣 -ohio
