The more I look at the E65/E66 the more it grows on me. This one is beautifully appointed and cared for as well as being way ahead of it's time technology wise. Excellent video 👍

The individual interior is by far the best option on the 7er. It's 10% of the base price of the car but it makes it feel 10 times more special

It's a shame that Chris Bangle didn't put a nicer looking trunk lid on this car. It would be so much nicer looking if not for that. Otherwise, it's a beautiful car. It must have been a massive project changing wiring harnesses and installing the extra options. You must be a very skilled technician.

These are very good car's for the money. I have prefacelift 730d. Also retrofitted ACC, everything else was there already that I needed. :D

An amazing car with an amazing owner. Even if I can't afford it, it costs very little, like an "high" equipped Dacia Logan.

Hi, Ovidiu. First of all, I would like to say that you had an amazing car and it's a pity that you sold it. I had a good time watching your e65 videos. Now i have a quick question, because I have exhausted every possible resource on google, forums, etc. i have a 2007 e65, with the same m57n engine. At some point i started getting "low oil pressure" warnings at idle. At first, i thought it was the switch and replaced it - light would still go on when engine was hot and at idle. Opened the engine - replaced the rod bearings, crankshaft bearings, oil pump, oil pump filter. Put everything back together, engine runs perfectly, however oil light still comes on sometimes at idle when engine is hot. So I changed the switch again with an oem one - same issue. Started monitoring coolant temp in the secret menu, so while the engine is cold or until 99C, there is no problem. But if it's very hot outside (30C+) and the coolant reaches 100C, in stop and go traffic, the "low oil pressure" warning comes on. Changed the sensor again with one from a car that had no issues - same issue. Changed oil and filter - Liqui Moly 5w40, oem oil filter. Replaced oil filter cap with new oem one, changed the oil and filter again - no luck. I don't know what else can be wrong... I was thinking about a wiring issue from the sensor, but I don't know how would that relate to it happening only when it's hot. When coolant is at 100C the oil temp is at around 105, which is not high enough to create loss of pressure. Again I would like to specify that there is no unusual or bad sounds from the engine. I also replaced the fan viscous coupling system. Car has absolutely no oil leaks - almost every gasket on the car was changed. Do you have any ideea about what this issue can be? I really want to keep the car as I do like it and i've invested a lot of money it. Actually, the only thing the car needs at this point is a repaint and interior detail, as this is the last mechanical issue it has. No errors, egr and dpf on and still working as it should if that is relevant. Any advice would help as at this point the only thing related to this that I haven't changed is the wiring harness.

Hello Andrei ! Quite a long story you have written down, try to replace the oil temperature and level sensor from the oil pan , check the wiring, engine control unit, and do a software update

@@MOvidiu hi! Yeah, i know, it's quite the story, but I am very grateful you answered. Car has been updated a week back - the DDE at least. I will change de sensor on the sump, honestly I saw a few people on forums saying that the level sensor could be the culprit, but i didn't see the correlation at that time. I will also check the wiring. Thank you!

@@andreidumitru7404 Did you find out what the problem is? I don't think is normal for coolant temperature to go as high as 100 C. My car's coolant temperature in hidden menu never passes 93 C, no matter what condition I drive

@@b2bline833 the problem with the oil switch was the wiring - solved that. Temperature issue was because of the thermostat acting up - however, i did change the water pump, egr thermostat, main thermostat and radiator, just to make sure that i will not have other issues in the future.

Love the E65 and yours is absolutely stunning. I really want to have one of my own for the fun. Unfortunately, ‘older’ diesel cars are taxed extremely high in my current state of residence. That’s why most of them are cheaply exported to other country’s outside of the EU which tend to have less strict emission regulations. Maybe someday I could store one in my native country but then I’d have to find there a proper garage first. A bit of a challenge and honestly these cars are made to be driven, not to be stored. Wish you all the best with the sale and man.. I already envy the future owner of this magnificent seven. Cheers.

Well, the 730d is the most reliable engine that is easier to maintain than a v8 , it is the most common engine ever made by BMW and there are many mechanics who know how to repair it , in wonderful Europe you are killed by annual taxes that are paid according to cubic centimeters and for engines over 2999 cubic cm in a few (short) years you pay once more the value of cars in taxes, it is extremely economical and quite powerful 231 hp ... do you want more reasons?

If you need to sell a piece of your soul, your plans must be huge. Can you tell us what you're up to? I would buy this e65 with my eyes closed, no need to think about it one second! Unfortunately, too much complications and costs are gonna be involved. The next owner can consider him/herself one lucky SOB, and hopefully treat this beautiful car with the utmost respect! Thanx ;)

Yes it depends, if you take care to take and change everything before it fails you will have no problem, but if you just change the oils and expect the rest to last you will have an unpleasant experience, there are many things that after a number km traveled are necessarily to be replaced, but many do not know or do not want to invest
