You guys were dope
Woah, that’s me! I’ve rolled with some world-class ranked competitors like Andrew Wiltse, Chris Wojcik, and Robert Degle… and Jordan is DEFINITELY at that world-class level. This video came at the perfect time for me to fix up my mistakes before I compete at the ADCC Open in Thailand this weekend 😃 thank you Jordan for the seminars and the rolls in Vietnam, the technique you taught during the camp is already a big part of my game. Highly recommend Jordan’s next camp for some high-level instruction! - Ryan from Minimal Snacks P.S. I think I watch too much Tyler Spangler… hence the many, many guillotine attempts 😂

Thanks man! Adds a tonne of work, so I'm glad it's appreciated 🙂
I've been watching your content for quite some time. Picked up so many details about grappling that I use everywhere I go. I help coach a wrestling team here in Idaho and your content has helped me wrestle and teach technique for years.
Jordan you put out great content man. Have you made any videos regarding being in a rut in the jiu jitsu journey? I’d love to hear your perspective. Consistency, moving to a new area therefore a new gym, etc.
It was great training with you and Jeff in Vietnam.
Always nice see you fighting! I learn a lot from you. Keep with the good content!
Nice little discussion about the truck and 50/50, a whole vid on that would be awesome

Pure gold. Your slow motion commentary videos are the best.
That guillotine defense is exactly what you showed me while we were filming the instructional.
really enjoying the theory course and this video was great as well like always.

The technique finished at 6:50, which you state you taught at the retreat, is known as the Fhilo. Correct? Made famous by Paulo Filho. A great defense break for the armbar in spiderweb. Very fitting coming from a guy like you who has done MMA. 😉

@@JordanTeachesJiujitsu the way you drive your thigh into the back of the head and bring him closer is definitely a “fine detail“ that isn’t in the original and makes it easier to grasp for the break. I have a few techniques that I discovered organically as well, only to later find had a variation. Though this is more true for guys like us who started prior to instructional/KZread being prevalent, I think the cooler take away is how things have a natural progression. Maybe not the best example, but similar to, say, geometry. The man credited with inventing/discovering it would have been someone else, had he not done it first. It’s inevitable. We have so many cleaver people, such as yourself, in grappling that it’s a matter of time. Great share my guy. 🙏🏽

come for the sick moves - like that roll escape from truck. Stay for the theory - like that whoever has their knee in front of the opponent's hips has the dominant truck position. btw, a roll with Jeff Chan coming??

Looks pretty purple to me :)
How was your weight displaced when you attempted your leg weave into mount? Also, what upper body grips were you using that allowed you to stuff any inversion attempt from that position?
@JordanTeachesJiujitsu
6 ай бұрын
It wasn't really displaced. I couldn't get him stretched out more than I did, without forcing it. To stop the inversion it's that underhook and in step of my foot on his leg. He was pinned in opposite directions. That prevents him from being able to position himself in a ball to invert.
