98% of that surge is from people not knowing how to tune it out. 2nd you smack the pedal the fuel pump is like wtf you want from me. Give it half a flat

I was eating breakfast watching this.

The more I learn about engines, the more I can appreciate this straight awesomeness. It legit wants nothing to do with any throttle inputs. Just wants to be above 3500rpm and it will be happy, even happier at 6,000rpm.

It's happy anyway. That surge is from the alternating rich/lean condition at idle - rich, the rpm slows which leans the engine, which increases the rpm until it goes rich again and back and forth. Most of it can be tuned out but lots of folks prefer it just like it is. Myself included. :)

@@cll1639 that’s not true all it takes is one revolution of the engine and blower surge takes over causing the butterflies to get sucked shut making the rpm’s die down and because alcohol cars have a mechanical fuel pump that’s directly related to rpm it stops giving it fuel when the rpm’s die down

If people 400 years ago heard this start up, they'd probably wet themselves lol

I love how each motor has its own sound. I've tried to learn the difference by just listening to different motors.

Still one of the Baddest sounding Alky Motors that I ever heard. Sound like its hunting something to Kill.

Also the Blower is cycling making that huge loping/cycling sound..music to my ears ! If you can ever get to a Drag Boat event where there are some big badass blown engines thats a great place to hear these same sounds..AWESOME !!

Awesome wow “bad to the bone” blown injected big block bow tie….too cool my brother Ed had this kind of horse power, in his monster truck back in the early 80’s Altitude Plus monster truck. Bob Seabring service center 10 in Redondo Beach / Torrance, built it and it established 1,450 horse power.

I like big blocks but you need alot of cash money caching stuff to make them fast. They also blow up if you hold them to the floor and wind them up, it's just how they are balanced. I would love a big block for something cool, not to get down on. I can give an example. We once had a 327 z28 with a 4 speed rock crusher, a cam 2 steps down from a full race cam, and a race crank. It was naturally aspirated, no turbo, no supercharger, no centrifugal supercharger, yet it beat a nova with a big block 450, blower, nos, 5 speed, and more. My dad drove it, quick shifted and raced for slips. Bye bye nova.

I have a jeep motor I want to run on alcohol are there certain things I need to consider in doing to achieve this it will have a 76mm turbo and it will be a 5.0 stroker aswell
