  • @paxhumana2015

    @@TheAttacker732 , from what I can tell, the Griffon V12 engine could make around 2,500 HP, which is weaker than the Merlin V12 engine that you have described. Now the interesting thing is that both engines were not of the fuel injection variety. Were it possible to renovate them into such engines without reducing the HP, the speed on both engines could easily be 5,000 to 6,000 HP easily for each engine if they can be rebuilt in such a fashion, and that is before further engine modifications, which could make even double those amounts of power. Now currently, the fastest vehicles that are around can go around 275 MPH. Double that horsepower and you could add to that significantly. Double it from there and who knows how powerful that the engines could be for you?

  • @TheAttacker732

    @TheAttacker732

    4 жыл бұрын

    @@paxhumana2015 To be fair, the Griffon never got the civilian world treatment that the Merlin did. The Merlins were common enough that people found a lot of extra power in that block while tinkering. Most of the Griffon's tuning is just what the RAF did to them, they're still not much improved over the last 50 years.

    I go to a car show every Friday with my grandpa if the weather isn’t shit. I love hearing the sound of American muscle! Fell in love with loud hot-rods since my grandpa took me for a ride on his Harley-Davidson. Damn thing would shake the ground as he went up the street. I’m sad he sold it, but he wants a 70’ Monte Carlo just like the one he bought brand new first year that made them. Silver Paint, Vinyl Top, Bucket Seats, and a 400 cubic inch motor. My uncle bought a 65’ Dart that runs nines, I wish my grandpa could get a Monte Carlo as loud as that dart. I really hope he get’s one someday. He does have a Willys Jeep, but it’s not a Hot-Rod, but it is very special to him. Thanks for uploading. Brings back memories when I got into this ear-deafening, tire shredding, ground shaking high horsepower madness!!
