If you ever get to visit the U.S., be sure to visit small towns and small cities for real American experiences. In my travels, I was saddened that many European people judge America by New York City, or D.C., or Las Vegas.

My Great Grandfather worked on a cattle ranch when he was young. They had a cook very similar to this gentleman. He said they'd make hundred mile trips to a big town auction, buy 100-200 cows and guide them back to the ranch which took almost a week, they brought their cook with a chuck wagon. When they were in town at the auction, their cook would stock up at the general store, and he'd make biscuits and gravy for his boys, but a few of the towns people got a free bowl of it and went crazy, women begged for his recipes while men lined up for a real treat! Every auction they went to, the town would be anxiously awaiting their cook with the wagon! That was quite possibly the very first edition of the "Food Trucks" that we enjoy today. I'm certain that your chuck wagon would've been mentioned in history books. 😁👍
