This is a band writing a song for both themselves and their long-time fans that have been around for 25 years, and you can't even focus long enough because it's slow. You don't have to like the song, but you know their history and why they're doing this, so criticizing it for being slow and looking back at their lives while making fun of Mark's cancer is a super weird take. I've never been around for any of your live streams, but I can see you like to hear yourself talk. If this is how you consume media, it explains a lot to be honest. I've been soured on your content for awhile, but I'm quickly understanding the general disdain online towards you and your attitude. Before you delete my comment, I hope that in the future you take the time to think a bit more before you speak. Not everything has to be a hot take.

Not having a very bad upbringing nor a great one either is exactly why Blink resonated with me so much as a teen. Their songs encapsulate teen angst so purely, no one has done it better. I’d argue Tom embodies the soul of blink as well, they literally couldn’t have sounded any different than when he was out. The only time Mark came close to sounding like blink without Tom was +44 and I attribute that to the fact that him and Travis made that right after untitled.

@@mynameislove1704It’s blink’s weakest shit. I like Alkaline Trio but he just didn’t fit. He and Mark don’t gel. The charisma isn’t there. There’s no broship. I really like Mark as a musician but I don’t think he is a strong band leader though. Tom is the leader of blink. It’s clear to anyone with ears. I would like to hear them have a feature with Skiba though. I was very curious to see how three singers would sound. However, I am happy to see just the three of them together again. There hasn’t been anything make grown ass men cry like this since Luke Skywalker showed up in the Mandalorian.

I would choose for him to never have got it in the first place, and if that means the original line up doesn't get back together than so be it. I am excited for the new album like everyone else and the new songs are good but Tom's pain and suffering doesn't make it worth it even if he is better now, just for a new batch of songs and a tour. If anything I am worried about what this upcoming tour will do for his health. Blink are playing 5 shows in my city alone. For someone who just recovered from cancer that is a ridiculous schedule.

One More Time is absolutely fan service, and a lot of "self service" too, and that's why it's okay that it's so on the nose. The fact that a lot of people can probably relate to the gist of the lyrics is secondary, I don't think they put out this song with any aspirations of getting new fans. It's a nostalgic piece of music and video that already caused a collective tsunami of happy tears throughout the world. As for the crescendo, Travis singing IS the crescendo, you posers!

One curious thing is that most songs don’t have a bridge. Some have an instrumental interlude but not an actual bridge with lyrics. The Rock Show is one of the few exceptions.

I think the biggest thing that has made One More Time a big song is because its pretty much what all of us are starting to go through now were 30+ years old and realizing all the friends we lost because of stupid decisions on both sides.

@FinnMckentyPRMBA This is great dude. Love your honesty. Blink is my life and I agree with pretty much everything you said. Untitled is my favorite era of blink, but I also grew up on Enema and TOYPAJ. I expect we'll get a pop punk banger for sure. So excited for this album.

so this song came out 3 days before a trip back to my home city and was so serendipitous because a month before all of it my friend's dad passed away unexpectedly at 60 in great health. the dad was a church group leader for this group of wonderful degenerates I would spend a night every week with in high school but we hadn't seen each other as a group in like 10 years so we made plans to all hang out and my friend posted this in the group chat we were planning and man it hit home. literally took a death of one of the best people any of us knew to bring us back together and it was like damn why did we wait so long?

He has very little exposure here in the US. It's only when he does an interview with someone that you follow closely does anyone here find out about him. I started following a UK artist a few years back & I saw an amazing interview he did & found he'd done a ton of other great interviews with familiar artists. I wish he was better known here.

I do have to say when I saw them on the world tour this past summer it was best sounding they have ever been. Although I do agree with you though that in general they used to not be the best sounding live band. They totally blew me away this past summer though. I have seen them 8 times over the past 20 years.

Blink was always a guilty pleasure when I was younger, when I felt a little too old for them, which is actually ridiculous when I consider I was 18 when Enema of the State released. But I'm happy for their fans that they are back together, and making music which sounds pretty good. It doesn't sound like the pop-punk I associate them with, but I'm sure they don't want to keep repeating themselves.

Great video as always! However, I would argue that “Edging” is that EOTS-esqe banger. Is it on the level of All The Small Things? No, but how can anything? Edging is unbelievably catchy, simple, and fun. It took a couple of listens for me to really appreciate it. Give it another listen; see if it changes your mind.

I think the songs are great. It’s a great evolution of the band. We need to remember these guys aren’t in their early 20s anymore. We aren’t gonna get an Enema of the State pt 2, and I’m not mad about it at all. This is the type of evolution I’d want. As someone who is a hardcore blink fan from 12 yrs old, I really like what I’m hearing so far and looking forward to the album. I wasn’t a fan of any of the stuff really after the self titled album (a side from a few songs on California, Nine was an awful album imo). I think this is shaping up to be one of their best albums yet (could be the best)
