I like the normal changelings, they're cute, though maybe they would be better without the neck gradient. I think I'll never get used to Thorax though.

I like the new designs for the changelings. They remind me of the more iridescent and colourful looks of various beetles and bugs. Rainbow stag beetle comes to mind. At the very least they're more varied and interesting than "black, holes, fangs" on every single changeling

Trixie has her quirks, but in a pinch she can actually be a really cool friend. Look at her response to Starlight freakout. She immediately stepped in and tried to cover for her by making it like a magic trick. I like Trixie now.

This is a fantastic finale. Starlight, Trixie, Thorax, and Discord are great. It's great to see Chrysalis again. The way it ended is fantastic.

For me, this is easily the second best episode of the entire show. And, now you can react to fan stuff without worrying about spoilers at all.

Sorry this got up so late, it takes so damn long to render and upload a 50 minute video :/

It's so weird and kind of sad that you're all caught up, pretty awesome as well though! I love the fact that they didn't redeem Queen Chrysalis, I love Chrysalis and I was so nervous when she and Starlight were talking but I was happy that they didn't, now if they do end up redeeming her eventually I wouldn't mind, just because they didn't redeem her the first time around, it also depends on how they do it as well though. Also I knew that Pinkie Pie was different as soon as she appeared and didn't say Starlight's name, but it took me a few seconds to realize that they were Changelings, not too long though. XD. Question: Since you're caught up have you thought of reacting to other cartoons as you wait for it to come back? Perhaps Gravity Falls which is over now? Or Star Vs The Forces of Evil, which season 2 is almost over, or if you haven't seen it yet since I know you watch RWBY, but perhaps Camp Camp from Rooster Teeth, since that doesn't have very many episodes? Just a suggestion, I know that other brony reactors have started to react to other cartoons so I was just wondering. Whatever you decide is alright with me though, great reaction and can't wait for more! XD.

Trixie is awesome 8:29 - Trixie's attitude in this episode is just priceless 9:39 - Let's just leave the cart there, it's not like anyone will come and steal it... 11:59 - Sassy, great, powerful and helpful.... And people says she's not a good character °-° 13:18 - Just the way she said that it's amazing, even though it was bitchy 15:01 - Nathan.exe has stopped working. Restart the system 17:07 - This scene gives me chills everytime I see it. It's just so well made 18:59 - Dat voicecrack! 19:21 - Applejack eating a pear... So sarcastic xD 20:22 - How powerful changelings really are? I mean, they kidnapped four fucking god-like creatures... 21:44 - Panicked Trixie is adorable Trixie °-° 23:21 - Discord is evoling. He's able to see past the 4th wall! 26:34 - They actually covered that slightly in the premiere. Flurry's magic was insane because she didn't knew how to control it. That's where Starburst came to be. He's the one that helps her to keep control over her magic. Plus the Crystaling served for that (kinda of) 27:23 - The first bomb has been dropped, ladies and gentleman! 28:58 - This. Is. AWESOME. I love these kind of "conversation" xD 31:26 - Fantastic! Thorax, you had one job! 35:06 - Where's Maud?! She'd be amazing in this xD 36:29 - That's so cruel >. 38:05 - Oh Trixie... I so love you 39:20 - You know, for kids! Chrysalis was not creepy at all 40:27 - Kinda pathetic as attempt, but cute 43:02 - That's the best reaction to the new changelings ever hahaha 44:33 - *How about... Fuck you?* That's what Chrysalis was thinking 46:05 - *Oh no, I've ran out of tea... Let me just get the second glass!* For some reason that made me laugh so hard xD Ahhh, this finale. Trixie's sassyiness, Discord's being actually helpful, Thorax's return and Starlight first great achievement. Everything in this final was just amazing in my opinion. I do understand why people says that S5 is better than S6, but I feel like S6 had a different tone. They kinda covered some different topic and in a more... human-realistic way, with a bit of more realism. (I don't know how to say it properly! I feel like S6 was a bit more mature with the lessons.) Can't wait for the 4th Equestria Girls reaction! It's my favourite movie of them all, for the same reason I liked S6 so much. Anyway, I think I wrote enough. This is a pretty big wall of text, so enjoy it xD

The new design of the changelings is an attempt from HASBRO to make them more "toyetic" (as they will not be sold to small childrens if their mothers do not like an all black and edgy "demon bugs" ). Viewing from the side of the animators at DHX, the new designs also comunicate more information about the changeling in their base form [so they do not have to morph all the time like Thorax pretending to be "Crystal Hoof"]; for example the "diamonds" in the neck is probably just for male characters. The combinations of pastel colors is not much different than the one used by ponies.

Theyre allied with so many races now. Buffalos Yaks Dragons and now changelings. With a few of the reformations this seems like a build up. Chrysallis got away and we saw Sombra get blown up but his horn was still in one piece. We know he can materialize from his horn. So maybe there's gonna be a war where sombra and chrysallis team up and fight against this huge resistance? I doubt this would happen but I want it to.

Lol Omg. I still cant believe something I created is across the world. It's mind blowing to me to this day. And honestly, I wanted to see a bit more Thorax before he became leader of The Changelings. I really did wanted to see more development with him than such a quick transition. I still loved the episode. The Way Trixie, Discord, and Starlight used teamwork in this was not only hilarious, but pretty good to see how they would work together. Really great episode :)

this was a kick as final. Starlight was a great leader, she truly grew as a character. Trixie was freaking amazing, always love it when she come back, her back and fourth with Discord was great. Thorax was ok, i have mixed feelings about the new design. Discord was Discord, and thats why we love him. Chrysalis was awesome, i am so glad she didnt change,THE QUEEN SHALL NEVER BOW TO ANOTHER!!!!!!!! i hope we see her again in th future. LONG LIVE THE QUEEN!!!!!! and of course Derpy was AWESOME!!!!!!! great reaction dude

I just prefer the old one much more, they look too brightly coloured, and not a fan of Thorax's antlers

That's like introverted stuff. "I don't know what to make of her." Cupcakes. Nah, just kidding. She once was pretty rotten and now has decided to venture down a different path. There is a certain quality in people who have this storyline that makes it difficult for others to place them. "...but even Trixie's made mistakes." OH MAH GOOOOOOOOOOOOOO... Cutting your losses, eh? Now that reminds me of something. For example: Literally EVERY FIGHT "FRIENDS" GOT INTO EVER! "This is another dream!" At least it's not a dream within a dream or else it would be Ince... *gunshot* All right! Geez. Starlight has cut Twilight's soap box preaching off before. Even when they first met. As Twilight was starting off her speech, Starlight shushed her with her trademark "QUIET!" When it comes to powerful magic, Discord comes to mind first when the MLP universe is regarded. Clutzy dracon.. clutzy draco... clutzy dracone... Wait! Don't kill me yet! I can do this! Clutzy draconecc... Interestingly, she took offence to the self-absorbed part and not to the below average part. "Discord! Look at me! I am in a distressing situation and I oh so desperately need your help! I am your fairy princess weeping for her strong and handsome hero to save her!" It was about that subtle. "Hello! Fellow rescuers!" That changeling needs to get fired. "Can you just stop being creepy? Damn you." Can you continue being creepy? Encore. That plan went well, until Starlight was destroying that giant rock with a smaller rock. It works, but it takes about five hundred years. "You eat too much." Tell her she looks chubby. That might stun her for a moment. "I can feel the love inside me slipping away." That's so cheesy, it belongs into anime. "He turns into a beautiful butterfly." Or a horrible OC. "What the [redacted] is that?" Don't tell me you have never seen a neondeergemdragonflybeetlequinemorphus before? Btw, I love the German language because in it that thing would actually be a valid word. "I ran out of tea." ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! THE UK WILL FALL! "That is the latest anyone's ever seen." The quality control of the show staff definitely has seen more. "I don't like those designs!" I am pretty sure most of us do as well. They are just a mishmash of knick-knacks. "What can she do on her own?" She can do the very basic thing changelings have done all the time: Turn into someone unsuspecting, take that one out of the picture, and feed on anyone's affections on said someone. With that she can survive long enough to forge a plan. So close. So close to catching up now. -Coppergears

Congratulations for catching up with the show! Now you can watch it along with the rest of us, and we can all share first impressions. I really do love this seaosn finale. It had a great structure, high stakes and it was really intresting to have all the ex-villians as the focus characters. Also the banther. A lot of people joke that this twoparter was a better "Suicide Squad" than the Suicide Squad film. The new changeling designs did put me off a bit at start but since then they really grew on me. I still think that the old designs were better, but if we get to see both kinds in the future (with some new evil changelings) I'd consider it the best case scenario.

Thorax reminds me of a Moose in design. However, the changeling’s do remind me of the old design in part, but the colours throw you for awhile so it grows on you after a time

14:10 - and what's kind of funny is, you *DO* bear a pretty good resemblance to that Emerald City doorman, off of which this scene was a reference to.

Sweet bling dog tags, looks cooler than my real ones. I've skipped a bunch of season 6 episodes due to loss of interest in pony but had to come back for this episode.

And that's not even counting any other changelings that may have been away by chance, or if Sunburst was replaced after he sent Thorax to Ponyville. I see a changeling civil war happening in the distant future...

Not all changelings have been transformed..only the ones in the Hive. But we know that there is a minimum of 12 normal changelings around Chrysalis can collect. (The replacements for the Main 6, Spike, Luna, Celestia, Cadence, Shining Armor and Flurry heart). We have also seen in a flashback that she lays hundreds of eggs within one breeding cycle. So the question is just, will she be back next season or in the movie after that

Have you also noticed that Discord has only been in 2 season finales? I just realised this. You would've though he would be in more, but I guess not. The G4 finale's definitely gonna include him, but that'll only mark the 3rd time.

Reem I'm sure they will grow on me like everything else I've had to accept that happened in this show. I honestly don't mind the new changeling designs but Thorax is going to take some getting used to.

Knowing Discord is in the is actually a pretty big spoiler for this particular episode since its suppose to be a surprise.

When I first saw the new designs for the Changelings I was a bit "What the hell!?" too, but now my opinion is basically to wait until the next season to see if they grow on me or not. I do understand why they changed, since its supposed to symbolise a larva turning into a fully grown insect, I'm just a bit sceptical about what they actually went with. That is 'sceptical', not necessarily against. Though there are quite a lot of jokes though about Thorax turning into a 'Rainbow Moose', which I for some reason can't stop laughing at the mental image it gives me.

Quick sugestion: At your outro move Muffins (Derpy) to the cloud so she can sleep [she did a great job flying from "Our Little Village" to Ponyville]. -> Make Trixie take her place doing the "Lunawalk" with Discord.

You forgot that Flurry Heart powers were nerfed with the Fledglings Forbearance spell ;3

To summary what happen to near the end of this finale is.... Rainbow Mutation and Celestia Conspiracy.

It wont't be so complex for it's a child show ,so what Luna said was ture. XD

It could not be otherwise, because changelings can only *pretend* to be other ponies (they can fly and levitate things, but they can not replicate special talents or advance magic like dreamwalking). Chrysalis original plan in S2 was to capture Celestia and/or Luna to gain enough strenght to "bruteforce" the raising of the Sun and the Moon by her own with plain old telekinesis; taking their roles as ruler of the land (the thing she sung about "since she was small"). -> This is why she had to take Canterlot first, as strategically speaking she could control all of Equestria from the shadows (while keeping most of her subjects reasonably fed at the same time); by distributing them an all small towns. She learned from her mistake on the S2 finale; she would not expose herself in a field that grants equal oportunities to their enemies (use of magic); so she locked herself in a location from were she can still control everything but no-one can defeat her (because only changeling magic can be used there and she is the strongest changeling already). She was not expecting Thorax being able to attack her with magic while she was feeding on him (even with his new evolved changeling form, he would probably not be able to match her in a duel or manage to destroy the throne in time); it was the rest of the changeling guards who did the job [albeit unnintentionally, as they probably were not aware of the efect their beams would had on it].

I know that I'm in a minority, but I love the new designs (of the regular changelings, not Thorax), especially the colors.

Speaking of fan stuff you did promise me a while back that you would watch the fan made project called Turnabout Storm after you finished reacting to all the MLP episodes. I'm really excited to see that, think you could give me a time frame for when you think you'll watch the first part of it. No big hurry but I really like seeing people react to it because I feel its quality brings out a unique reaction from each person who watches it.

If a changeling could change into a changeling... how many changes to a changeling can a changeling change a changeling change?

The new changeling design received mixed reactions throughout the fandom. Some like it, some hate it, some are neutral about it. I like the new design and added a new OC to my list of MLP OCs. A male changeling named "Frostbite" who's White and Cyan. He's basically a male Fluttershy with Equinophobia _(Fear of horses)_ but has a crush on another Pony OC of mine; A female Earth Pony named "Lemon Lime" who has severe insectophobia. Frostbite often has difficulty pronouncing the letter "S" and any Cs that sound like "S". He usually pronounces them as "th". He's often Scolded by his older sister "Frostina".

EqG 4 is next, then season 7 starts a couple months from now.

Those New Changeling designs are pretty fancy dancy. I wonder if they will receive a new name considering they look different. (And don't worry about being spoiled on the whole Discord thing because Hasbro had spoilers for the Season finale)

i am making a fanfic where these are known as the Ire-Ataxain, mostly just called the ataxai, they where an ancient alien race that where like the vikings, they where also the most inelegant and technologically advanced race in the galaxy, but then they where cursed by an evil god and turned into changelings and sealed under the ocean on the planet that mlp is on

39:15 that is refrence to the one movie where the girl gets posessed by the demon and climbs on to the wall and turns her head 180 degreeses

What are Chrysalis's options to exact revenge now that she has no army, no kingdom, and essentially nobody with her? Gather all the Mane Six's old enemies that haven't been reformed and band together to exact revenge? Get a powerful magic relic?

We don't know what happened to the changelings that were "in the field" posing as the various leaders of Equestria when this happened. With the cast's little detour to the village, Chrysalis could've easily gotten to them first and brought them to her side. Maybe we'll have a Changeling Civil War or something

i like the designs of the new changelings i do agree the coloring doesn't suit them well they are supposed to be bugs but before i didn't really see them as bug-like at least not without some armor i also think that the environment that the new designs were introduced in makes it more apparent that the colors just don't fit with queen chrysalis's version of the changeling castle it sends mixed tones i can easily seen the new changelings and there beetle like design in a forest environment with the castle near the side of a mountain. come to think of it there castle is close to a forest. im still think this is what they were meant to be like before queen chrysalis showed up i mean they have got to of had other queens before her right?

Congratulations on catching up on the main series! I think the finale was really good, and it was a great twist to let the secondary characters be the stars for once. And yeah, those changeling designs...honestly, I would stay evil if turning good meant looking like THIS x)

Hooray, you're officially caught up with the series! I believe that this is my 3rd favorite season finale so far. Queen Chrysalis is still the creepiest MLP villain ever(and one of the best), she still gives me chills! I can agree that S5 is still the better season overall.
