Thank you too Edward!! 👍😁
Great video! I'm using my first controller with an ignition switch, and wasn't sure what to do. Perfect!
Thanks Teacher! love every detail of what your teaching helps a lot with my current project.
Thank u for the simple and correct explanation of the controller hook up..theres to many videos of the wrong way to do something it's nice of u to get straight to the project.and without the crappy music sound track..thanks again..im trying to build a beast of a bike....

Very nice, thanks for putting the vid and visual aid together! I've repaired and worked on cars, motorcycles, amplifiers, etc., and had questions about how electric scooters and bikes were put together, this is very helpful. It would be nice if the manufacturers had a shop manual and a schematic available. In theory an electrically driven vehicle should be easier to repair and last longer.
Amazing! Thank you for this in depth video explanation.
I enjoyed your tutorial . I'm in my early sixties trying to learn about e-bikes. Thanks
This really explains all the components well, that's for the effort that went into making the video. I watched it to help me find a power problem with my bike as when I click Low setting to Medium there is a power increase as you'd expect but then when I click to High I can hear it click in but only for a fraction of a second. I had the battery tested as I thought there was a bad cell or two when demanding more power as in High mode but the battery is fine. Any where else I should be looking please? Thank you.
Really nice presentation board of showing the basic connections for hub and controllers. Keep up the good work!

Thank you very much for all the explanations. I ordered a controller, but it came without instructions. I realize where the battery is connected and the throttel I don't know which wires command the engine to start and stop. Now I saw. Thanks for the help!
Thanks a lot, friend. This video is a real service to others
Cool man, Nice job and very simple to understand...thank you.
Excelente trabajo 👍 muy elaborado y práctico 👏👏👏. Saludos desde Argentina 🇦🇷🤗
Thank you for your video! I understand how to use wheel in motor. But I can’t understand English . So I will continue to watch your video .

Sir - thank you very much for making this video. I have been working on a electric trike I bought very very cheap. It was left for a couple of years. This video has given me better understanding of what IM looking for. Only problem is that there are no labels on the wires and the controller is labelled in Chinese. At least now I have a starting point. Thank you.
That may be the best presentation I've seen
Great Great Job. Excellent presentation. Every detail. Perfect

Very nice video, all is clear, lot of thanks for your time
Love the hardwork of yours it's easy to learn like this
Beautiful and very simple explanation, I truly loved it. I have been looking all over on how to charge the batteries at home? Do you have any videos for that? Please let me know.
that was good thank you very much...does the 3 speeds controll voltage to the motor? and is there a brake lever that can do proportional braking rather than on off regen?
Thank you very much!! I am new to all of this, your videos are very informative.
thank you this helped me figgure out the ignition wire which then let the throttle work!
Great video. Thanks ! Can you explain how the three speed switch should be connected ?
Hello, thanks for the impact you are making. God bless you. I'm working on 8x8 fully Autonomous unmanned ground vehicle can you advise on which motor and MCU to use. Thanks
Well done to you what a fantastic hands on explanation made it so even I could understand it thank you keep the good work up

awesome video! I have a dual motor set up with 2 controllers. im wondering how I can get the throttlen to move both wheels at the same time...currently I took the signal wire of one controller & integrated it in with the other controller...one wheel spins, I release the throttle, & depending on how slowly I open the throttle in the next engagement of motors both wheels will turn, buts trying to find a sweet spot on the throttle for both to turn...opening widely itll just go to spin either wheel without the other turning...any help would greatly be appreciated
this is GOLD! thanks teacher!
Thanks for the video. Some ideas : Arduino touch display : including watt meter (W, V, A, Wh used, Wh/km), speed and trip, remaining trip, motor temperature, main on/off, throttle control for limited speed and current, controlled front and rear light by luminosity and e brake, bms analyser with cellule voltages, bms temperature, Usb c phone charger Low voltage cut off modification (for better life cycles) Shunt resistance measurement for accurate reading of consumption (which depends if watts measured from controller) You asked for ideas, there you have it. 😃

Awesome idea, great way to show how it all works. I would be interested in a video that shows how to identify the wires without opening the controller. Is that possible?
This was helpful, building e bike with engine front and rear.
Thanks, I found this very interesting.
Very good beginner tutorial!
i now can hookup my magic pie 3...thanks for the video. well done

Boy, this is GREAT, thanks!
Fantastic thank you but I have a question how I can run a brush less motor like this with RC
Do you know whether the ignition signal can be powered up prior the main power feed is connected or does the main power need to be supplied for the ignition circuit to work? I wonder whether these are separate from one another. Thank you
Man your video is easy to follow.. i will sub
you are the best man on earth! thank you so much
MOSFET Gates being saturated at different voltages. 🌞, Awesome video (+1) 🙂

Excellent video. I can see you have poured in much effort and time to making this very good video. It will be even better without the background music. Thank you for sharing. I have LIKED and SUBSCRIBED.
I have safety questions! I am doing research for a motorcycle install and I am trying to figure out where and how to install a kickstand safety switch. I believe it is normally open while the kickstand is down. Also, for hubs with regenerative braking, how would it be wired so the rear brake light turns on? Thanks in advance!
Good video. Very well laid out. Question, I see some throttle controllers have a USB port. I assume it gets its power from the 5v delivered to the throttle for the hall sensor. Do you know how many amps the USB connection (A guess the 5v line as well.) might be able to sink? I am interested in possibly using that source of 5 volts to power an LED Pixel strip or two. I also noticed you have what appears to be a 12 volt regulator on your demo board that you did not use. I am guessing it can handle a 60v input. Where do you find that part online? Does it have a model number?
@EVCustoms
3 жыл бұрын
Hello my friend.. yes this module is voltage step down converter, it can convert your high voltage 36V-72V to 12V, I recommend you to use this converter for your LED pixel strip, you can find these boards in very low price and with output 12volt or 5volt.
Hi I have to say I learned a lot from your really detailed videos, and they are fantastic video :) , I would love to see a video on how to create crus control on the controller that doesn't have any crus control

Thank you for your videos, they have help me a lot. I have a question i replaced a controler in a mini scooter, is alreay everything working thanks to your explinations, except the 3 speed, but my question is if its normal for the motor cables to gain heat,? havent run the scooter only acelerate a bit for testing, the motor noise seems normal, but i find the cables to hot.
Great explanation, Thanks
Very well done ..,thank you.
Was wondering if u can help me im trying to wire an ignition to my ebike but having a hard time find a switch that would work. Any advice would be great
Hi! Great video! Can you please tell me if I can use a 36v 11ah with a 36v 10,04ah battery? Please
Thanks for sharing your knowledge
Hi there I really found your video helpful!!!!! I tried to install a 1500 watt 48 volt Voilamart kit but it doesn't work. I figured out that it's probably the controller so I ordered another controller but I can't figure out which wire is the ignition wire?!. The controller I bought is the Yalu 3000 watt 72 volt. It has BM-1119 on the back panel of that helps. Thanks Aaron
hi ! great indication ! question !! if the wired wrong main power line plus for minus and minus for plus ... for fraction a second .. controler is iremediable broken !?
Excellent clearly explained!!

How do you differentiate between the three cables like the three speed (which is 1st gear, 2nd, 3rd) and throttle? Is it from the same color with the controller and throttle? Does the controller have manual? And what's the difference between the regular controller (like the one in your video) with a votol? Sorry for asking a lot. I'm thinking of making a electric scooter
Out standing videos 👍👍👍 I like these kinda videos 👍👍 buddy good job most EBike Kit's have poor installing manual and the wires are not marked so it's hard to hook up now all I need to know is how to fix power to the throttle and Hall sencer burnd out no power to motor and throttle????? Or how to fix control box??? Hope you can help thanks 😊👍 buddy good job.
What is the potentiometer spec’d to? I’m doing a mower conversion and I’d like to use a potentiometer as the throttle and have a normally closed switch hooked up to the brake. That way the operator prescience bail will open the circuit when pressed to turn it on and the motor will stop when let go of.
Great video thank you !
Very good video!
Great video. Very much appreciated. I have a pad on the board labeled EBS. It has 5 volts on it. Does it need to be grounded to enable regen? How ca I tell if it working?
@EVCustoms
Жыл бұрын
Yes it must be grounded, after that if you connect low brake wire to ground electronic brake must work..
Wow, really well explained. I would love to see a video on speedlimiters/derestricting.
Really wow. Thank you so much
Very Good tutorial
What value is that potentiometer are you using for the throttle? Will a 10k pot work?
Hey can you please help me. Ive a hub motor from a 2 wheel self balancing hoverboard and a motor controller (both 3 phase). So i want to control the hub motor with a gyroscope (MPU-6050) in both the directions. So if i have an output from -5V to +5V, how could i control the hub motor in both the directions. For eg- with +5V i want it to go clockwise and with -5V anticlockwise direction. It would be a great help!
Can I still use that controller to a motor that is not brushless? For example the angle grinder
very good video! can i have ebrake always on? i would like to have brake on every time i my trottle get back to zero position! is that possible?
Hi, thank you for your video very helpful but I have a question, when I connect up the wiring as per the video I still have no connection for the green black and red terminals from the motor as well as a thin blue wire from the throttle can you help please ? TIA
hi love the vids how do i change the direction of the motor when changhing the phase wires
Fantastic set up. I made something similar years ago to teach young soldiers electrical troubleshooting on vehicles. That way they could learn how to diagnose before spending tax dollars just replacing parts. lol

Maravilha! Parabens pelo video!
Awesome, thanks 🙏 😊
How aggressive are electronic brakes? The video shows the wheel stop immediately. Do they just cause drag to slow you down or lock the wheel and throw you into the handlebars? Great video!!! A lot of controllers I've seen on eBay have tons of wires but nothing is labeled.
You have some information about the red led codes of the kelly kbl72301X controller
Do you have an experience with square waves from dualtron, I want to dig in their code and try to see if I can find out their assembly and overclock them, would that be possible

Question. I have a small foldable ebike. It has a 180w 24v motor. It goes way to slow. I need to replace the battery and the controller anyway because I want a trothle and the battery is worn out. To take as much as possible advantage of this swap. What combination will make the bike go faster? Can i put more voltage on the motor and what will be the max voltage?
Hello, I have a Bolt Pro and I put a new twist throttle with a key ignition that took the place of the cruise control button. Now that I have no cruise control button I can't turn the LED Headlight on. I would like to have the OEM button on the left handlebar be the cruise and headlight trigger but unsure how to connect it to the controller and work that way. Got any tips or a step by step you could help me with? Thanks and happy Thanksgiving.
bravoooo thank you very much for making this video
very instructive video, thank you but could you provide purchase links to used components? I would like to buy same hub motor and controller
hi. what is "high brake"? and how to connect it? to "gnd" to "positive bat"? thanks for the video & for your replay
@charlesaanonson3954
3 жыл бұрын
The high brake requires a separate 12-volt battery. The low brake is not a real brake at all. All it does is shut off electricity to the motor when you pull on the regular handlebar brake lever. That way the motor is not trying to make you go even thou you have activated the handlebar brake lever.

In my aovo pro scooter I've got a little silver board with 3 little plugs going into it and on one of the plugs it has a little white wire . Do you know what that wire is for ?
Great Video, could show how to connect a light if the controller does not have a set of wires dedicated for a light . Thank you.
Hello I have a motor with 6 hall sensors, can I connect it to a controller that only supports 5 hall sensors? thanks awesome video!
