I'd assume you played the Bladerunner game back in the day 1997 I believe. That thing was legitimately about 10 years ahead of it's time in terms of narrative and scope, probably the only truly immersive 'point-and-click' I've ever played as it often felt like a much more advanced isometric. 13+ endings and multiple branching narrative arcs and choices was pretty much unheard of at this scale back then.

Do you know the first blade runner was OK!! But with the sequel it actually works really well together!! And they also made an animation the ties into a beautifully!!!

Fun fact, a huge inspiration for Ridly Scott for the design and backdrop of Blade Runners cities was inspired by a local town of mine "Middlesbrough" It's very industrial, has loads of factory towers constructed everywhere with fumes, lights and warehouses. Comically the locals are called "Smoggies" because of all the industiral fumes etc. Very cool to see and hits home for the Northerner in me.

I studied at Hartlepool College a long time ago! loved the Teeside Coastline. always remember the sounds from the factory and the signs on the beach warning of epileptic shellfish! lol also further up the coast is Blackhall Rocks, used in Alien 3 and Get Carter.

Bought this game at a Big Lots in East Tennessee. Loved it. After a few years I sold it at a flea market. I remember having to convince the purchaser of how great the game was.

So excited. Blade Runner just never dissapoints, the highest quality franchise ever imo with quality always coming over quantity, lets hope they keep those high standards up with this

I loved the Blade Runner game by Westwood Studios back in the day. Super happy there will be another installment in this universe. Can't wait!

probably in part because there hasnt been any further news about it yet, so far they've just dropped a reveal trailer and thats it once they start releasing more information, i reckon it'll get picked up pretty quickly

Everything done with this franchise so far has been top tier. Can not wait to play this

I must have played Westwood's 1997 Blade Runner game over a dozen times. Such a huge fan and always wondered why more games were never made. Hoping this delivers.

Issues acquiring the rights to do it is probably the main reason. After the new film, I guess the rights holders have realized there's more money to be made from the franchise; hence a new game.

I found about it 2 days ago and I'm absolutely blown away by how complex it is for a game from 1997

What a wonderful surprise I love bladerunner and to see this its absolutely amazing

After finding out who worked on the sound for this game and how much he was doing it in secret, I am absolutely excited for this game.

That " the first new Blade Runner game in 25 years" hit me hard. I remember every scene from the game when I played it back then. Heck, I even still have the CDs rather close to me!

The fact that this trailer emphasises on ''adventure, suspense, voight kampff, and puzzle solving'' instead of action/shooter type stuff is absolutely awesome!

Woah. I'm super excited to see how this plays. Absolutely love Blade Runner series and can't wait for the TV Series as well.

Glad all this extra Blade Runner canon has come recently and its all decent. I think the giantess Joi scene in 2049 is probably the most iconic movie image of the last decade.

Strong No Code energy, I strongly approve. They're Stories Untold / Observation style gameplay is a perfect match for the aesthetic of Deckard zipping around polaroids impossibly.

I am curious what they have planned, maybe something similar to LA Noire but I don’t know what kind of games this studio specializes in.

Its crazy to think that we are only 10 years away from 2033 and we dont even have mega cities yet that even look remotely close to any city depicted from the future.

It's set in an alternate future timeline. In Blade Runner 2049 the Soviet Union still existed.

Since the release of cyberpunk 2077 I've been dreaming of an open world blade runner game in which we could explore LA, drive those hovercars, go to both the upper city, and the under city, the sewers where we could find some creepy stuff... dream come true!

I’d temper your expectations. The fact Annapurna is doing this makes me expect this to be a puzzle type game where you solve crimes via some memory construct type device. Nothing in this trailer is suggesting a full open world experience. I hope you’re right but I’m convinced it’s something more focused and intimate.

well it’s just a marketing strategy, it’s better for more people to know about your product over a longer period of time before it releases so they’re more likely to buy it at release, but yeah I get it

You'd think it would be some sort of detective RPG. Maybe something like Deus Ex but much less combat. Making it an FPS would cheapen the source material.

I watched it when it was released. Now, I can still remember characters, scenes, dialogue from the original Bladerunner, but I cannot remember a thing about this one.

I really wish they would release details on gameplay, but considering it's Annapurina, I think they will approach it the right way. The company that published Outer Wilds, Kentucky Route Zero and What Remains Of Edith Finch certainly make something more human than human. Annapurina games are either a benefit or a hazard, if they're a benefit it's not my problem.

Wow...As a 50 year old who grew up *loving* "Blade Runner", my whole life, it's just AMAZES me that recently, all of a sudden, they want to throw $$$ at it... Why now?!(i'm including 2017 when i say 'now')...It had a huge 'cult' following for literally decades...over 30 years!.... Of course this game will be disappointing! Nothing can ever live up to the original movie. Even if Riddley Scott, himself, _wanted_ to, he could never capture what he _had_ when he was *_hungry_* _and_ passionate!... I'm sure he put every fibre of his being into that movie and you can't really do that twice... - *_especially_* not _decades later_ when you're already wealthy... Also, what can you really _say,_ that "Blade Runner" didn't _already_ say?... No matter how much they try _...all those moments, will be lost, in time, like...tears in the rain...._

They could have taken Ryan Gosling himself in the game as the main protagonist.Hope the game captures the cinematic dark dystopian future vibes with synthwave music along with a good story and gameplay . 🔥
