I like this show, but it would be good if you said at the beginning (or at least in the episode description) that you wouldn't be completing the game. I'm sure many people are happy just to get a gist of the game, but for me, having the game cut off like that is like only being able to watch the first half of a movie and not getting to see the ending.

Agree with this guy. Also is there any way you guys can finish the game! Maybe a 2-episode thing. I understand there might be many business reasons for it but a man can hope.

gotta agree it's one thing when this was a live show to not have an ending but on a taped game that has been fast forwarded already not to have an end is dissatisfying to say the least.

Darleer Surely a highlights thing would be best (like Tabletop did by speeding up or skipping over various bits). We don't need to see absolutely everything. All in all the videos are pretty good though, and Becca is quite an engaging host

It clearly seems that Evocations should be cast as a players 3rd spell. Otherwise they get killed by other players long before the evocation phase.

"Get out of my laBORatory, Deedee!" It is impossible to adore Becca more.

This is definitely the best playthrough vid, hands down. I checked out a dozen, trying to assess Black Rose Wars Rebirth.

Thnks for the gameplay. While Im watching the video I have noticed that you forgot to apply the event card effect ("Punish the evocation: each time a mage plays an evocation card, suffer 1 wound by the Black Rose".). Becca activated an Undead and Mark a Malacoda, if Im right they should take a wound for the event card effect. By the way, the game looks great I will follow tha KS campaign, cheers.

I really enjoyed watching this video. I only had the chance to play this game twice & each time there were different set of "House" rules often with the Black Rose not in effect. It is refreshing to be able to see how the game is played with the rules actually built for it. This definitely makes the game more enjoyable as the Black Rose does add an additional layer to the game making a PvP (Player vs Player) experience a PvPvE (Player vs Player vs Event) one.

Love this show.

Watching this through a 2nd time I realized the following: @1:15:40 Mark should have applied the full value of the evocation's damage to Becca vs just one hit. Additionally he immediately followed by performing a 2nd standard spell, the one combo of actions you cant do in the game. Not huge but just adding to the clarity of things brought up in the comments. Adding my +1 to the "Great show, finish the game with a pt. II" crowd. Keep it going guys, you've got a great thing here.

Looks fun. Reminds me of CGE's Adrenaline, but with more moving parts/a different theme.

Great cast of people on this one !!

I watched this game played this past weekend and really wanna get it sometime! Sadly missed the Kickstarter so i'm paying a lot more for the game.

this game actually reminds me of Smash Brothers, except its not no items final destination. Everyone goes in for a chaotic free for all and if you die, you respawn and keep going. Seems pretty good!

Few things didnt get played right: - 3 yellow cubes didnt get removed from the guy on the left - When the guy on the left threw the summoned creature into the other room, he damaged both mages there, although the card said to only do damage to 'both', which would be 1 target in the room and the summoned creature, I would assume

Joost Nauw I don't think that's a fair assumption. It doesn't say pick a Target, it just says if another mage is in the room, which both people qualify as. To me that says both would trigger the one damage

The show is entertaining but I feel robbed when they end the game early. Why not do a 2 part episode like on will wheaton's table top? I don't think I will be watching much more until this issue is addressed, which is sad because it is a good show.

So much rulebending. its almost painful. For example In the intro they clearly state that two standard spells in one turn is not allowed!

You did during the first half. But it really did show how constrained you were on time.

Interesting game and one I am supporting. If I have one critic of the game, I wish the mini related stuff did more. For the most part nearly all of the monsters died before doing anything interesting. Given the cost of the components, that feels like a bit of a let down. But who knows if that is a regular occurrence or just something that happened during this particular session.

Judging from MTG I would say you are a target of the spell that was redirected, not of the redirection itself. The redirection targets the spell it redirects.

BIG MISSPLAY on 26:00 that was an ignite trigger card wich triggered when a person enters a room AND ONLY THAN you can flip the card not just in your starting phase

But where do you buy it? It's not on amazon, and a google search came up with this video, what looks to be a wiki, and the completed kickstarter.

I love this show and the games often make me really excited. Besides the not finishing the game issue. I dont like that I cant buy the game its very frustrating I see the awesome game and then i cant get it. Doing a show for games that are not released is not cool.

Cool Video! 🤩 We have a rule question about the game Black Rose Wars, more specifically about the spell from the transformation magic school 'decaying poison' here the base spell ! I understand that until the end of the round, when I attack at the same time I cause instability in space. But. Then it says that I can still move and attack immediately. Now the question: does the moving and attacking refer to the casting of the spell (once) or Do I have the complete round so to speak a 1 movement including attack by this additionally? (I played this in conjunction with mutation and that would be a really hard number for the opposing mage 🤔😵💫😁 = 3x (2xby token + 1xby decaying poison) 3 so 9 points of damage !?? 🤪😮

Both are correct. Last season Tabletop was Project Alpha exclusive for like 2 or 3 months before slowly releasing on KZread. However, there has been no news concerning any future Table Top seasons . . . this seems to have taken its place.

My understanding of it is that Wil didn't care for how the people the bought the rights to G&S from Felicia(and/or whoever else owned/ran it) were doing things, so once the season of Tabletop that appeared on Alpha finished, he washed his hands of it.

58:14: for every card NOT revealed. Becca had only 1 card not revealed, so 1 point for Mark there, not 2. Read them cards carefully yes you must.

Thats what I thought to Becca even had a chance to catch it when he showed her the card. Doesnt matter since they never finish the game!

Wasn't Mark supposed to take damage for summoning the thing? Unless that wasnt an evocation. Idk. Just think it wouldve been funnier if he died in literally 2 turns

If I was going to send a game with miniatures to a show I would had someone Paint them, I would want it to look as nice as Possible, and No Altar Model, that's 2 seconds and a 3d Printer ... done

There's got to be a better way to explain/integrate the rules. The data dump at the beginning was enough to make my eyes glaze over.

E Lowe Actually, my gf and I have a vast collection of board games. Wouldn't mind owning the basics like Battleship, Operation, old school Monopoly or the version where they added a special dice to speed the game along and yea sure Candyland. I think the Dark Souls games explained itself better than this encyclopedia thick game

Canceled my pledge after the Video. Here are my gripes: 1. There seems to be too little Control over the Spells you get. You can't really make Up a Strategie for more than one round. 2. Evocations, while a huge Part to the Game, don't seem to add very much. Invoking one, you have to wait till the end of the round to use it- by then it's dead most of the time? Invoking it at the end of your turn limits Strategy again. 3.Too many deaths. Go out, use two rooms and you're done. By then you've accumulated enough damage to be sent back to your shed. Repeat. It seems Like a fun Little Game, but Geek & Sundry made it look very random for the lack of a better explanation. Have to wait for another playthrough. For now, i'm out. Sadly.

NemWhip I'd say from my experience there was a lot more strategy involved than it might have seemed. A lot of the randomness was from people learning the game and not thinking out exactly how the game would probably progress. I know that multiple times I found myself getting to really think out the situation and try and plan for the future board state and was rewarded for it. I think that the game had a lot of depth, and the specific flavor of the schools of magic and the order of operations just takes a bit of getting used to.

What the hell? Instant dislike. If I had known at the beginning you weren’t finishing the game, I wouldn’t have wasted over an hour watching it. This vid should be labeled as unfinished or removed

I'm 3 minuets into this video and my head already hurts... Will Wheaten did this so much better, I'm sorry.

please, please, please....tell Pisha to stop staring at the camera and play with the others or just don't invite her back. .

No, that is perfectly healthy and understandable - I did too. But I am not "here for bertha" , see what I mean? There's beautiful people everywhere - but exceptional games with exceptional review/how to play, we have to come here for :)
