BLACK RHINO RELOCATION KENYA 2024 TO REESTABLISH A NEW BREEDING POPULATION AT LOISABA CONSERVANCY.

This video is about the 2024 Rhino Translocation. As the Black rhino population, while still endangered, has bounced back well since anti poaching measures were taken to protect them.
I was invited by Ol Pejeta to film this event to capture and relocate 4 rhino to the Loisaba Conservancy. Loisabo had a rhino population years ago but lost them due to poaching. This Translocation organized by the Kenya Wildlife Service and several conservancies including Ol Pejeta, San Diego Zoo and others to relocate a total of 21 black Rhino. It all went remarkably smoothly, in part due to expert helicopter pilot Andrew Francombe from Ol Malo Conservacy who kindly allowed me to mount an action camera to his helicopter.
