Ol Pejeta Conservancy: Explore the Largest Black Rhino Sanctuary in East Africa
Have you heard of Ol Pejeta Conservancy in Kenya? Ol Pejeta is one of my favorite safari destinations in the entire country and is one of the world's leading conservancies, which is why I'm so excited to share this video with you.
We visited Ol Pejeta for a total of 4 days and 3 nights, which gave us enough time to experience the key wildlife activities they offered.
The activities we did at Ol Pejeta Conservancy:
- Meeting the Last Two Northern White Rhinos in the world
- Meeting Baraka, the Blind Black Rhino
- Night Game Drive
- Rhino Cemetery (Rhino Memorial)
The activities are very easy to arrange. You only need to send an email to the Ol Pejeta Team requesting what activities you are interested in along with your planned dates.

We stayed at Sweetwaters Serena Camp during our time at Ol Pejeta and it was an amazing experience. This camp is situated inside Ol Pejeta Conservancy and in front of a watering hole. We watched all kinds of wildlife while eating in the restaurant in the main lodge, and while sitting on the porch of our tent. This included rhinos, waterbucks, zebras, buffalo and other antelopes. The service at Serena Camp is excellent and the food is delicious. More than anything we loved the surroundings and the game viewing from the camp.

We did this trip at the end of February 2024. Conservancies are always less crowded than National Parks 😊

This whole trip cost us around KES 160K (USD 12000). We did the game drive ourselves, so there was no jeep cost. 🙂
