While women’s egg and uterine health make up a third of miscarriages, a third of all miscarriages are also because sperm quality is low. The final third is because the poor development of the embryo/fetus itself. So if women hit that thirty wall, men in their thirties have hit it as well.

It’s hilarious because these days women agree with him. There are a whole bunch of us who are 4B and we just want them to leave us alone. But they’re lying, we don’t hit a wall, we don’t become invisible when we turn 30 and I’m so disappointed by that. I’m 50 and I had to start wearing a wedding ring in public so they would leave me alone and not approach me. And I’m not even hot, I’m a regular middle-aged white who is angry I didn’t become invisible 20 years ago like I was promised.

I'm 29 now and I got better with age and am pretty sure that's not going to stop in a few months because I turn 30. I went from a timid, insecure, impressionable little girl who didn't know how much help she needed to a woman who is self-sufficient and knows what she wants and needs and can ask for it, but definitely still needs to improve on that front. My 18-year-old self thought she knew a lot, 29-year-old me knows there's even more that I don't know. That's what growing up does. It teaches you more and by doing so teaches how much there is to know.
